Silva could welcome back a handful of players to his first team, as Michael Dawson, Jake Livermore and Josh Tymon are all doubts for the clash.
Curtis Davies is unlikely to have recovered from a hamstring injury, while the game is also likely to come too soon for goalkeeper Allan McGregor.
