Hoysala had previously played for Bellary Tuskers and Shivamogga Lion in the Karnataka Premier League, as well as representing the Karnataka junior squad.

In a thrilling match at the RSI Bengaluru Ground, Karnataka emerged victorious over Tamil Nadu in a nail-biting finish. After setting a target of 173 runs for Tamil Nadu to chase in 20 overs, Karnataka managed to secure the win by a narrow margin of just one run.

Tamil Nadu fell just short of the target, finishing with a total of 171 runs.

Hoysala played a crucial role in the match, scoring thirteen runs off thirteen balls before making a crucial breakthrough by dismissing Tamil Nadu's opener, P. Parveen Kumar.

Despite conceding 28 runs in the four overs he bowled, Hoysala's performance was instrumental in Karnataka's victory by removing swashbuckling opener, Kumar on the very first ball of Tamil Nadu's run-chase.
