Arsenal's win saw them climb to third; a point off champions Manchester City and two behind leaders Liverpool.

Boffins and brainiacs over at have crunched the numbers to produce BETSiE, a supercomputer tasked with predicting sporting outcomes.

According to BETSiE the title race is set to go down to the wire, with Arsenal just ahead of Liverpool and City by the narrowest of margins.

Mikel Arteta's side are slated to get 86 points, with Liverpool also on 86.

The Gunners' recent annihilations of Sheffield United, Newcastle, Burnley and West Ham could be set to come in handy, with their goal difference, currently at 45, predicted to finish at 61, compared to Liverpool's 52.

City, meanwhile, are back on 84.3 in third.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa are backed to beat Tottenham to the fourth Champions League spot.

Fifth could still produce a ticket to European football's top table, however, courtesy of the Champions League's move to the Swiss Model from next season.

Spurs are backed to finish comfortably ahead of Manchester United, who are down in sixth.

Newcastle haven't reached the heights of last year, but Eddie Howe's side are tipped to finish seventh and secure European football for next year, albeit in the Conference League.

Elsewhere Chelsea, West Ham and Brighton round off the top ten - in eighth, ninth and tenth respectively.

Down at the bottom, Sheffield United appear doomed to finish bottom, with Burnley hardly better than them in 19th.

It looks set to be a newly-promoted treble of teams going down, with Luton backed to finish 18th on 30 points.

This would see Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace, Everton and Brentford all stay up, in 17th, 16th, 15th and 14th respectively.

In a mid-table mini-league of their own; Wolves, Bournemouth and Fulham are tipped for 11th, 12th and 13th.
