JOSE MOURINHO has warned Manchester United fans that the days of bold attacking football are over.
Many supporters have been clamouring for a return to a time when teams were steamrollered at Old Trafford.
But Mourinho is predicting years of tight matches to the dismay of the United faithful.

The Special One said: “The Manchester United scoring goals and goals and goals is over. There is no more dominancy.
“And you will see that for the next ten or 20 years.”
Mourinho's claims come after Paul Pogba told his critics that scoring goals is not his job.
Speaking to , he said: “With everything that happened, the transfer, changing club, returning to Manchester, people want me to score, make a difference in games, because they say that at that price, a player must score, provide assists.
“My role as a midfielder is not to score. I can make a difference in games, but I have a lot of work. Defensive work, dictate play. It’s also a question of my abilities.
"I can also make the difference in winning back possession, in the team’s play - I have to work for the team rather than think about myself.”
United came from behind against Liverpool to continue an unbeaten streak that has seen them rise into top-four contention.
They head to Stoke on Saturday looking to go above rivals City ahead of their high-pressure clash with Tottenham in the day's late kick-off.
