Striker Hojlund, 21, was spoken to by his United team-mates after sitting down to answer questions from the outspoken fan channel.

The Dane, who is still in his first season at the club, spoke to The United Stand's Mark Goldbridge last month as he fulfilled a promise made after his £72m arrival from Atalanta.

They discussed a number of subjects but some of his fellow squad members did not appreciate him giving the YouTube channel, which has criticised players in the past, the time of day.

However, that is not the only backlash to have erupted from it, with the now stating that it also led to death threats and a police investigation.

The United Stand say that they have received warnings to Goldbridge that he is “a dead man walking” with others threatening to harm him if goes to Old Trafford again.

And the messages, that were sent on social media, also “mentioned other members of staff and the exact location of the studio” in them.

Security has now been stepped up with the cops being called on Tuesday.

A Greater Manchester Police statement confirmed: “Officers have spoken with the victim and relevant information has been passed over to the police. Enquiries are ongoing at this stage.”

“To be threatening people's lives yet again evidences the vile pack mentality that exists on social media.”

Goldbridge previously came under fire for his criticism of the club and his targeting of players like Harry Maguire.

United legend Paul Parker criticised him a few months ago and accused him of being a Nottingham Forest fan.

Meanwhile, Hojlund looks set to come back into Erik ten Hag’s squad after suffering an injury blow just as he was starting to find his top form in front of goal.

Hojlund's double against Luton in his last outing means he has scored in six consecutive Premier League games - a run that stretches back to Boxing Day when he finally netted his first domestic goal in a thrilling 3-2 win over Aston Villa.

That broke a Prem record as he became the youngest player ever to achieve such a feat.

However, that hot-streak was curtailed when he picked up a knock which ruled him out for three weeks, but now he is set to be back for United’s clash with Liverpool in the FA Cup on Sunday.
