Thibaut Courtois ‘leaves Real Madrid training in tears as ex-Chelsea goalkeeper suffers nasty new injury’
THIBAUT COURTOIS has been forced to have an operation after suffering a nasty new injury in Real Madrid training, according to reports in Spain.
The former Chelsea goalkeeper has yet to play this season after tearing his cruciate ligament in August.
They claim that the Belgian keeper left training in tears after tearing the meniscus in his right knee.
He has now had surgery on the knee, report and will take two months to recover.
Courtois had only recently returned to training following his previous setback.

The 31-year-old had not been expected to feature this season after suffering the initial injury on the eve of the season.
But he was understood to be ahead of schedule in his recovery as he bid to return for Madrid's LaLiga and Champions League push.
Real Madrid responded to Courtois' injury by swooping to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan from Chelsea.
However, the Spaniard has since lost his place in the side to Andriy Lunin, who has been the regular starter between the sticks since November.

Courtois' latest injury blow comes amid another public spat with Belgium manager Domenico Tedesco.
He branded the national team boss a liar on social media as their feud continues.
The bad blood dates back to Tedesco's decision not to give Courtois the captain's armband for Belgium's matches against Austria and Estonia last June.
Courtois' outburst has thrown his international future into doubt after winning 102 caps for the Red Devils during his career.
And he now appears unlikely to be fit for Euro 2024 in the summer.
