THE BOAT RACE returns TODAY as university rivals Oxford and Cambridge go to battle on the River Thames once again.

Last year saw Cambridge prevail as they extended their lead to 86-81 in the men's race.

Cambridge completed the double in 2023, triumphing in the women's race for the 47th time to take their advantage to 47-30.

The iconic four mile and 374 yard Championship Course will be the route for the rowers once again as they go from Putney to Mortlake.

200,000 people are set to watch from the riverbanks of the Thames and millions from their TV sets at home.
