Greg Eason posts X-rated message after being mocked for shooting record-breaking 15 on a par-five in round of 90

English pro playing on Web.com Tour in America became sensation after horror hole... but bounced back in style

ENGLISH golfer Greg Eason posted an X-rated message mocking his critics after he was trolled for shooting a record-breaking 15 on a par-five.

The former world No 3 amateur who once had trials for Leicester as a teenager took a decuple bogey en route to shooting a round of 90 on the Web.com Tour, America's second tier.

He had shot 91-95 in the storm-hit tournament a few days before in the Bahamas - losing 32 balls.

And some Twitter users questioned whether he was really good enough to call himself a pro.

But Eason bounced back with a bogey-free 68 in the second round of the Great Abaco Classic, also in the Bahamas, and said simply: "F*** you all."

Eason bettered his first round score by a whopping 22 shots and took to Twitter to celebrate.

He wrote: "I don't tweet much.. but recently I've been under much scrutiny upon my scores on the course...but today, f**k you all. #68 #bogeyfree."

Looking back on his record-breaking 15, Eason admitted it was "demoralising" to end a round like that - but still explained how it happened.

He said: "It’s like a driving range on that tee. Six off the tee, found the third one, a few drops, a few hacks and a few more hazards further up. Equally distributed left and right."

And the key to turning it all round was a bit of swing advice from a mate.

Eason said: "He said I was a bit steep and I was generating loads of spin into the wind, any wind really, and it’s just too hard to play with that.

"So I got myself together a bit and started hitting the ball properly, and saved 22 shots."
