ASTON VILLA goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez appeared to be sporting a slightly different kit at the weekend.

The 31-year-old made his 44th appearance of the season during Villa's Premier League clash with Bournemouth on Sunday.

Unai Emery's side cruised to a 3-1 win thanks to goals from Morgan Rogers, Moussa Diaby and Leon Bailey.

But some fans noticed a small change to his kit.

While Martinez was wearing Aston Villa's standard goalkeeper strip, the badge looked different.

The lion in the centre of the badge appeared to be upside down.

Martinez appeared to be the only player with the different badge.

It is currently unclear if the change was intentional or just a kit error.

Aston Villa have been contacted for a comment.

The Villains had an issue with kit provider Castore earlier this season.

During the first few games of the campaign, the strip appeared to look soaking wet with sweat.

It even began clinging to the players' bodies due to a lack of breathability.

However, Castore were eventually able to fix the issue.
