Triple H says ‘let’s talk’ as WWE boss teases major change to WrestleMania and fans beg ‘give the people what they want’
WWE chief Paul 'Triple H' Levesque hinted he is open to hosting WrestleMania in London within the next four years.
British professional wrestling fans have been begging the wrestling giants to bring the Showcase of the Immortals over to the other side of the pond for decades.
It all started when WWE hosted SummerSlam at Wembley Stadium in 1992 but the wrestling giants wouldn't hold another major pay-per-view event in the UK for another 30 years.
They instead put together RAW and SmackDown episodes as well as some non-televised house shows and minor events called Insurrextion.
But everything changed in 2022 when the Principality Stadium hosted Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, which sparked fresh hopes WrestleMania was finally coming to Britain.
And London Mayor Sadiq Khan seems determined to turn that dream into reality as he has promised to bring some of the greatest sporting events to the capital if he's re-elected on May 2.
Khan pledged to lead the effort of bringing the Superbowl, NBA and WrestleMania to London.
And the Mayor will also look to bring the Olympic Games back in 2040.
Khan tweeted: "London is already the sporting capital of the world.
"If I'm re-elected next Thursday - we'll go even further.
"We'll look to bring WrestleMania, Superbowl and the NBA to London, and put together another bid for the 2040 Olympics."
WWE chief content officer and head of creative Triple H seems open to finally hosting the first ever WrestleMania outside of North America.
And the 14-time world champion responded to Khan on social media telling him he is open to holding talks.
Triple H responded: "Let’s talk."
Khan showed he means business as he swiftly responded: "I'll be in touch."
Elated WWE fans flooded the comments' section as they called for The Game to "give the people what they want".
One fan tweeted: "YESSSSSS SIRRRRRR. FINALLY SOME REAL WRESTLING AT WEMBLEY."
Another commented: "OMG IT’S (POSSIBLY) HAPPENING!!!"
A third wrote: "Looks like Wembley is about to have its all time record broken."
