RONNIE O'SULLIVAN turned to snooker punditry after being knocked out of the World Championships... but fans were more interested in his choice of necklace.

The Rocket, 48, suffered a quarter-final defeat at the hands of Stuart Bingham on Wednesday evening.

It means he will have to wait at least another 12 months for a record eighth Crucible title.

But O'Sullivan shook off the defeat in less than 24 hours and was back on screen as a pundit for the semi-final action on Thursday.

Yet viewers could not look past his choice of outfit.

The seven-time champion wore a burnt orange short-sleeve shirt and necklace - a look that some on social media weren't crazy about.

One person said: "Love you @ronnieo147 but that ‘pebble like’ necklace is absolutely disgusting 😂."

While another added: "Does he own another shirt? And what’s that thing around his neck? 😂"

Meanwhile, O'Sullivan gave an honest reaction to being eliminated from the world championships.

He said: "It was a good tournament. I felt I cued better this tournament than I have for two years so that's a real plus for going forward.
