Mohamed Salah could decide Darwin Nunez's Liverpool future

LIVERPOOL star Darwin Nunez has fuelled speculation about his future after deleting all pictures of him playing for the club from Instagram.

Nunez has deleted all Liverpool-related photos from his Instagram page

The striker has often shown a lack of clinical edge with no player in Europe’s top five leagues missing more big chances.

Despite that, he’s still much loved by Liverpool fans.

The Merseysiders are set for a new era with Jurgen Klopp’s glittering nine-year stint coming to an end as the German tactician has decided to take some time off.

Feyenoord boss Arne Slot is set to replace Klopp at the Kop and big changes could be on the horizon.

SunSport revealed that Nunez has attracted interest from Barcelona amid all that uncertainty.

And as speculation continues to mount, the Uruguay international has deleted all photos of him playing in a Liverpool shirt off .

Every snap, except his profile picture, show the Uruguayan enjoying some family time.

The only football-related pics are from his time playing with Uruguay and Benfica.

There has been no explanation why he’s deleted his Liverpool pictures.

Barca wish to bring Nunez to Catalonia to replace Robert Lewandowski as they prepare for a major summer fire-sale amid their growing financial woes.

Incoming Liverpool manager Arne Slot snaps at reporters in press conference and threatens 'this will be unpleasant'

Lewandowski is the Blaugrana’s biggest earner while the Liverpool star makes about a quarter of the Poland international’s salary as he racks up around £140,000 per week at Anfield.

The Premier League giants could be open for discussions with Barcelona, who are willing to meet the player’s release clause, as they will want to hand Slot a decent summer kitty.

However, if Saudi Arabia interest in Mohamed Salah returns then Nunez‘s situation will drastically change.

Salah, 31, enjoys a hefty contract at Liverpool that runs out next year and was the subject of a record £150million bid from Al-Ittihad last summer.
