A FORMER England Rugby World Cup winner looks unrecognisable after showing off his ripped physique.

Phil Vickery loaded on 31kgs during his playing days and has now lost it all over again.

Vickery, 48, was part of the England team that lifted the 2003 World Cup in Australia.

He was forced to retire from rugby in 2010 after a series of neck injuries.

He has now lost all the weight that he put on during his career and has a ripped physique.

The former England captain decided to get into the "best shape" of his life to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the World Cup victory.

He shared a picture on his Instagram when he managed to reach his target look.

He captioned the post: "So an idea over two years ago to be in the best shape of my life to celebrate 20 years on from winning the rugby World Cup.

"It’s been an interesting journey full of highs and lows but have loved the process but more importantly the people who have helped along the way @chrisbradley.uk for lighting the the flame and always being there for me.

"@propowell_2001 you are the most wonderful person not just for putting the plan together but being there consistently as a friend and mentor.

The former prop is a fashion designer - and a very good one.

The Devon native spent his 15-year career playing for Gloucester Rugby and London Wasps.
