James Rodriguez hints at shock return to Everton as cult hero, 32, faces leaving sixth club in five years
JAMES RODRIGUEZ has teased a potential return to Everton as he faces leaving his sixth club in five years.
The Colombian, 32, joined the Toffees in 2020 under his former boss at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich: Carlo Ancelotti.
He gained cult hero status at Goodison Park, before being frozen out by Ancelotti's unpopular successor Rafael Benitez.
Since leaving Merseyside, Rodriguez has played for Al-Rayyan, Olympiacos and Sao Paulo.
The attacking midfielder has found himself out of favour at the Brazilian club and has been left out of their last three matchday squads.
He has played just six minutes under new manager Luis Zubeldia and could soon be on the move once again.

A second even offered: "I’ll pay his flight ticket."
While a third commented: "I will come and pick you up myself."
In 2014, Rodriguez was among the hottest properties in football after lighting up the World Cup in Brazil.
