He gained cult hero status at Goodison Park, before being frozen out by Ancelotti's unpopular successor Rafael Benitez.

Since leaving Merseyside, Rodriguez has played for Al-Rayyan, Olympiacos and Sao Paulo.

The attacking midfielder has found himself out of favour at the Brazilian club and has been left out of their last three matchday squads.

He has played just six minutes under new manager Luis Zubeldia and could soon be on the move once again.
