The Ukrainian extended his stunning undefeated streak to 22 wins and handed the Gypsy King’s first ever loss after 36 fights after a split decision.

The scorecards in Riyadh read 115-112 to Usyk, 114-113 to Fury and 114-113 to the eventual winner.

Based on the cards, the Ukrainian heavyweight won the first, seventh, eighth, ninth, 10th, 11th and 12th round.

Fury, on the other hand, prevailed in the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth round.

But some fans weren’t happy with the results and took to social media to blast the judges.

One boxing enthusiast tweeted: “Usyk won 1,2,8,9,10,11,12 and had a 10-8 in the 9th. Embarrassing judges but not surprised.”

Another commented: “ONE JUDGE SAID FURY WON, WTF?”

A third wrote: “SPLIT DECISION???”

While some fans raged at the scorecards, there is no suggestion of any impropriety from the judges.

Usyk, who was very emotional after the fight, says he expects to go into a rematch.

The Ukrainian said: “Thank you so much my team, my God, Jesus.

“Mr Excellency, thank you this is a big opportunity for me, for my family.

“Slava Ukraini [Glory to Ukraine]. It’s great. I don’t have words.
