SOCCER Aid has confirmed the England squad for its next charity clash at Stamford Bridge.
The provisional England team will be coached by none other than former Chelsea icon Frank Lampard.
Who is Frank Lampard?
Frank Lampard is a former professional footballer born on June 20, 1978.
He had a successful playing career primarily with Chelsea FC and for England.
Lampard first signed for the Blues in June 2001 for £11 million.
At the time it was the second-highest fee Chelsea had spent on a player.
As a midfielder, Lampard was known for his goal-scoring powers having scored 211 goals with the team.
Lampard spent 13 seasons playing at Stamford Bridge before leaving in 2014.
Is Frank Lampard married?
Frank married TV presenter Christine Lampard in 2015.
Their wedding was an intimate London celebration at St Pauls church followed by a reception at The Arts Club.
They have two children together, a son named Freddie and a daughter named Patricia.
Christine is step-mum to Lampard’s children, Luna and Isla who he shares with ex-wife Elen Rivas.
Speaking previously on Loose Women, Christine told the story of how her and Frank had met at the Pride Of Britain Awards.
She said: “Frank came over to me and said, ‘I watch you on The One Show’”.
“I said, ‘No you don’t! Who was my guest last night?’ And he was able to tell me!”
“There was an awkward introduction at the party afterwards,” she added.
I knew straight away it could be serious because I knew we could be mates and he made me laugh and we laughed a lot on the phone

“I just laughed and we both giggled about it. Then that was it.
“He somehow got my number, and I had a withheld number call my phone on the way home. I picked up and it was him.
“I said ‘Wow, you’re keen!’ as a bit of a joke, and we chatted, and he said he enjoyed meeting me and would like to stay in touch.
“It was very relaxed.”
“And then he went away with England the next day so I didn’t see him for a couple of weeks.
“But we spoke on the phone every single night while he was away and one night we spoke for four hours…
“So by the time we met again which was a couple of weeks later, we’d done all the awkward chats.
“I knew straight away it could be serious because I knew we could be mates and he made me laugh and we laughed a lot on the phone.”
What does Frank Lampard do now?
After retiring from playing football, he transitioned into management and has taken charge of clubs such as Derby County and Chelsea.
In his one full season as Chelsea’s head coach, in 2019/20, Lampard guided the Blues to a fourth-place finish in the Premier League.
