Gareth Southgate included him in his 33-man provisional squad last month in the hope that he would be fully fit before England's opening match against Serbia next Sunday.

However, now claim there are growing doubts regarding his fitness.

Maguire missed Monday's friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina and will also be absent when the Three Lions face Iceland at Wembley tomorrow.

He missed today's pre-match training session to continue following his own individual programme.

Luke Shaw also missed out, as did Lewis Dunk.

Meanwhile, James Maddison and Curtis Jones left the camp after being told they will not feature in Southgate's 26-man squad.

Maddison was reportedly in line to start tomorrow's match against Iceland, but made the decision to leave on Wednesday.

Jarell Quansah is also expected to miss out, as is Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford, while Sun Sport understands Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite is sweating on his place.

Of Southgate's provisional squad, 27 were in full training, with Jude Bellingham still on holiday following his Champions League heroics.
