Actor Max Greenfield joins CrossFit stars around the globe in smashing 44 Guinness World Records
Athletes gather in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Sydney to put new Reebok Nano 7 to the test
IT’s not every day a world record is broken, but for 44 to be smashed in one fell swoop across the globe within 24 hours is something special.
And it was the CrossFit community that were at the heart of it as they helped to launch the brand new Reebok Nano 7 training shoe.
New entries into the Guinness World Record were made in New York, Los Angeles, London and Sydney last week as stars from the screen joined athletes in the mammoth attempt.

American actor Max Greenfield, an avid CrossFitter and star of FOX hit series New Girl, joined in the fun.
He said: “It was awesome to be a part of Reebok’s record-breaking day.

“To see so many records fall around the world is a testament to the Nano 7 and everything it can handle.”
The undoubted star of the day, however, was Camille Leblanc-Bazinet – the Canadian smashing four of the records herself, including crushing the current record for fastest pegboard climb by nearly 30 seconds.
Annie Thorisdottir, the first woman ever to win the CrossFit Games twice, extended the record for most weight lifted in a clean and jerk by an impressive 600kgs.
Rachel Martinez managed an incredible 12 handstand push-ups in 60 seconds; and Ricky Garard and Sammy Wood surpassing the current records for most squats in a minute for a male and female with 70 and 64 respectively.
In London, Norwegian gymnast Erik Lundstein showcased the improved power and stability provided by the Nano 7 by breaking the record for most barbell back somersaults and most kettle bell back somersault in one minute.
“We believe the Nano 7 is the epitome of training shoes. Putting Nanos to the test through breaking Guinness World Records titles was a fun and exciting way to bring it to life,” said Inga Stenta, Senior Director of Brand Management at Reebok.
“Some of our athletes made these incredible fitness feats look easy, but these are world-class efforts and true demonstrations of what happens when determination and grit meet peak performance. Record or no-record, we’re incredibly proud of all our athletes and volunteer participants who continually show us their willingness to push themselves to their limits.”
