The Bundesliga giants identified Kompany as the man to take them forwards after a dismal campaign, that saw them finish third in the table.

According to Sky Sports' six big name players are "allowed to leave" if the club receive suitable offers this summer.

Bayern are inviting offers for forward Serge Gnabry and French winger Kingsley Coman, whose contract ends in 2027.
