Jake Paul leaves Mike Perry a bloody mess after flooring ex-UFC star three times before brutal KO
YouTuber-turned-boxer also called out a UFC champ
JAKE PAUL battered Mike Perry and left him a bloodied mess to set up his dream clash with Mike Tyson.
Former UFC and bare-knuckle champ Perry was blitzed after just 40 seconds of a brutal clash at a jam-packed Amalie Arena in Tampa.
Paul, visibly larger than his opponent, was never in trouble despite flashes from Perry.
This was his first boxing bout, and it showed as Paul crunched a series of thumping left hooks and a final right to send the Cleveland fighter down in the sixth.
The ref and everyone here, including WWE superstar Hulk Hogan, had seen enough as Paul won convincingly to suggest that his tussle with Tyson, set for November 15th, should be equally as lively.
Paul came to the ring dressed as a Gladiator – and some of the savagery unleashed on poor Perry wouldn’t have looked out of place in the Coliseum.
“He was hard as nails, but I’m sorry it took so long,” said Paul.
“He may be the King of Violence, but Mike Tyson, you’re next.
“I am excited for that one.”
Paul said the Tyson fight is on “100 per cent” and that the 58-year-old, once dubbed the most dangerous man on the planet, is looking “as crazy as ever.”
“Mike, I love you, this is my sport now,” Paul added. “I am honored. You are a legend, but I am going to take your throne.”
Paul, 27, scored a pair of knockdowns in the first two rounds and looked on his way to an early night.
But Perry, 32, got a second wind and came back into the bout during the mid stages.
Still, he was hit far too easily and shaken to his boots on multiple occasions.
In the sixth round, Paul unleashed a combination and dropped Perry in the corner to signal the end of the fight.
The YouTuber-turned-prizefighter moves to 10-1 and onto his winter clash with Iron Mike while also calling out UFC champion Alex Pereira.
“I did put him down in the first round and he just survived it but Mike Tyson! You’re next big boy,” Paul said.
“Sign the contract! November 15th on Netflix, I’m excited for that one. I’m going to go home and prepare for that.
“And, Alex Pereira, you said you want to box, I’m the king of this. I’m the king of this, come over we can make it happen.
“I want you Alex Pereira. Indeed, I just beat a BKFC champion, I beat multiple UFC champions and he said he wants to box, so Alex Pereira, after Mike Tyson lets make it happen.”
Tyson retired in 2005 but came back in 2020 for an exhibition with Roy Jones Jr that ended in an eight-round draw.
He posted a video of himself watching Paul’s fight and teased that the “Countdown Begins.”
