Tiger Woods knows he can’t beat anybody and just wants to keep his name relevant, blasts PGA Tour star Pat Perez

Unheralded Perez, who has two PGA Tour victories to his name, mocked 14-time Major winner over his bad back

TIGER WOODS knows he can no longer beat anybody on the golf course and is just trying to keep his name relevant.

That is the shocking opinion of outspoken PGA Tour Pat Perez.

Perez, who has two victories on Tour compared to Woods' 79, also mocked the former world No 1 over his bad back.

Woods recently withdrew from two events in the run-up to the Masters with back spasms after pulling out of the Dubai Desert Classic following an opening round 77.

And, speaking on SiriusXM PGA Tour radio, Perez mocked the currently crocked 14-time Major champion over his condition.

He said: "He's got this new corporation he started so he has to keep his name relevant to keep the corporation going.

"So he's going to show up to a few events, he's going to try to play. He's going to show the Monster bag, he's going to show the TaylorMade driver, he's going to get on TV.

"He's got the Nike clothes, he's got to keep that stuff relevant, but the bottom line is he knows he can't beat anybody.

"He knows it. I mean he shot 77. That guy can shoot 77.

"What does he do the next day? Aww, my back's gone. He knows he can't beat anybody! I told you!

"He's not going to come out and play poorly."

Woods' participation in this year's Masters remains in doubt, 20 years after he claimed his first green jacket by 12 strokes as a 21-year-old.

And Perez predicted that it really will be all over for good if Woods does not turn up at Augusta on April 6.

He added: "If he doesn't play Augusta then it's over. It's not like he has his favourite Major courses after Augusta."
