Inside England stars’ summer of love after Euro 2024 with two heroes getting engaged and trio partying in Ibiza
Others decided to get right back to work
ENGLAND stars have been getting over their Euro 2024 heartache by partying or getting engaged.
The heroic Three Lions squad were beaten 2-1 by Spain to be left runners-up for the second Euros in a row.
Several of the squad took their mind of things by taking a beach break while others stayed back.
Summer of love
Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins became a national hero after his late winner against Holland sent England into the final.
His partner Ellie Alderson was there to support him in Germany – and looks like she will be for years to come.
That is because the couple announced their engagement in Lake Como in Italy.
Watkins posted a series of pictures on one knee with a ring in hand from the Mandarin Oriental hotel.
The two have been in a relationship since 2018 and live together in Birmingham.
They were later pictured on a day out in Milan off the back of their engagement news.
But they were not the only pair celebrating the same good news.

West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen and reality TV star Dani Dyer also announced their engagement.
Dani beamed from a yacht in Spain and showed off her stunning ring after three years of dating.
Ibiza weekenders
Other England heroes took a well-earned break in the party island of Ibiza.
The Sun revealed how Declan Rice and Ivan Toney – who struck up a friendship inside the Euros camp – danced the night away at Wayne Lineker’s O Club.
Luke Shaw – who started only in the final – also took a trip to Ibiza and bumped into Arsenal’s Rice after posing with DJ Fisher.
Club bosses from the Premier League allowed players from the Euros an extended break ahead of the upcoming season.
But not all opted to take it.
Cole Palmer – who briefly levelled for England in the final – won praise of fans online after it was revealed he was straight back into training.
Only days after defeat to Spain, the Chelsea man was seen in a personal training session working on his strength.
Soon enough, every England player will be called back for pre-season as the new campaign looms.
