GREAT BRITAIN won two gold medals in 15 minutes following thrillers in the men's triathlon and women's sculls.
Alex Yee clinched his first individual Olympic gold medal following a fiercely competitive triathlon in Paris.
And Lauren Henry, Hannah Scott, Lola Anderson and Georgie Brayshaw narrowly pipped Netherlands to the post in the quadruple sculls with a photo finish.
Yee ended the swimming leg of his event in 18th, 27 seconds behind then-race leader Alessio Crociani.
The Commonwealth champion managed to gain a few places during the 40km cycle but found himself stuck in the middle of a 30-man leading pack while fellow GB athlete Sam Dickinson stormed to the front.
But as soon as he got off the bike, the 26-year-old broke away to lead the running leg.

He spent the majority of the 10km run behind New Zealand's Hayden Wilde and chased him to the very end.
He picked up the pace on the final corner to overtake and steal the win.
Meanwhile, Dickinson dropped off after the cycling.
The 27-year-old Brit set the pace on his bike to give Yee the best chance of taking gold.

There was major uncertainty surrounding the triathlon in the hours leading up to the event due to concerns surrounding the safety of the River Seine.
Both training events were cancelled in the build-up after the water was deemed to be far too unsafe.
The men's event, originally scheduled for Tuesday morning, was then postponed to Wednesday.
But the final decision to go ahead was made in the early hours of the morning.
The women's event took place first, with France's Cassandre Beaugrand winning gold, Switzerland's Julie Derron clinching silver and Team GB star Beth Potter taking bronze.
Meanwhile, Team GB's women's quadruple sculls team came back from fourth place to earn gold in a photo-finish with Netherlands.
With the Dutch on course to win, Henry, Scott, Anderson and Brayshaw managed to edge in front at the last second.
GB went on to win the race by a matter of centimetres.
Great Britain have now won six golds at the Paris Olympics.
