WAYNE ROONEY went full John Terry as he lifted the EFL Cup in his Manchester United kit despite not playing in the final.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the winner as skipper Roo was about to come on - leading Jose Mourinho to use Marouane Fellani instead.
But Rooney took his place on the podium to collect the trophy - just as Mourinho promised - in echoes of JT in 2012.
The Chelsea skipper wore his full kit to lift the Champions League in 2012 and changed from his suit despite not being part of the squad.
