Watch Olympics gymnast suffer sickening fall after equipment SNAPS… then fall again in second attempt on bars
A little-known rule meant he was given another chance - you can watch the incident below
FELIX DOLCI suffered a pair of sickening falls during the men’s individual all-around final at the Paris Olympics.
The Canadian gymnast had been in third place and in line for a bronze medal through the first two pieces of apparatus.
However, an equipment failure on the high bar left his medal hopes in tatters.
Dolci impressed with his routine before winding up to dismount the bar.
As he was swinging on the bar, though, his wrist straps snapped and caused him to lose grip on the bar.
The 22-year-old could be seen flying off the bar and hitting the floor in a horror fall as the crowd gasped in shock.
Competition rules later allowed Dolci to repeat his exercise as the routine was interrupted for reason’s beyond his control.
Unfortunately, his second effort also saw him lose grip on the bar after a flip as he fell off again.
Dolci went on to finish the routine by pulling off his dismount and received a rapturous reception from the Paris crowd.
A score of 11.733 on the high bar was not enough to prevent Dolci from plummeting down the standings, however, as he made a heart gesture to the cameras.

He was able to recover to post 14.366 next up on the floor exercise as he failed to let his falls get the better of him.
Dolci was competing at his first Olympics, having also been part of Canada’s eighth place finish in the team final.
He previously won silver in both the team event and floor exercise at the 2022 Commonwealth Games ahead of the Paris Olympics.
Team GB’s Jake Jarman and Joe Fraser were also in action in the men’s individual all-around final.
Meanwhile, reigning Olympic champion Daiki Hashimoto of Japan was amongst the field of medal hopefuls.
