Man Utd flop Wout Weghorst preparing for career post-football as he tries to open holistic school in Holland
The striker has been linked with a transfer to two clubs
WOUT WEGHORST is ready to provide the assist to children looking to achieve their goals.
The 31-year-old is preparing for life after he hangs up his boots by attempting to launch a holistic school in Holland.
Weghorst, who is still on the books of Burnley, is one of the leaders of a group named Wise that wants to “innovate the education system”.
The Manchester United flop has been in his home town of Twente to explore locations to build his school.
Weghorst aims to have 70 students on board and provide a unique approach to “future-proof education”, supposedly involving plenty of lessons taking place outdoors.
According to the website, the striker works in a “general and director co-ordination” role.
Explaining why he is involved in the project, Weghorst says: “As a co-founder of Wise and above all dad of three beautiful daughters, I have a mission – to integrate a holistic approach in education, where children can discover their unique talents in a playful way.
“Every child is unique and pure and this in combination of being in good connection with your environment is important to achieve the goal.
“It can be worn by everyone together – the parents, the children and the coaches.”
And his motto reads: “If you want something, everything is possible.”
