COLEEN ROONEY succeeded where husband Wayne failed on his dismal debut as Plymouth Argyle boss.
The Manchester United legend was "disappointed, angry, surprised" by a 4-0 thumping at Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship opener.
But whereas the ex-England skipper looked on anxiously throughout, his wife managed to find moments to smile about as she watched from the crowd with the couple's kids.
A sunny day out with her children seems a good enough reason to beam.
But what exactly made Coleen look so serene as she wore such a joyful expression is uncertain.

So perhaps it was the fresh memories of Marbella - the destination for the Rooneys' recent summer holiday.
Coleen kicked off the week by posting a selection of sultry snaps, including beach shots in a bikini, from the trip.

She gazed on intently in her brown sunglasses at Hillsborough, at times appearing to share Wayne's anxiety.

"Whether that's getting to the ball, tackling, being aggressive and staying with runners.
"Sheffield Wednesday were one of the best last season at crosses and cutbacks and it was four goals from crosses and cutbacks, which we worked on throughout the week, so I'm really disappointed."
Jamal Lowe was the main reason Wednesday were on a high.
The ex-Bournemouth winger fired a belated opener on 35 minutes and sparked Brendan Galloway's own-goal woe soon after the break.
Josh Windass and sub Michael Smith then finished Argyle off.

But at least Rooney knows one thing, for sure.
Plymouth need to get smiles better to have a chance of a decent season.
