KOBBIE MAINOO will be a superstar at Manchester United, claims Jamie Carragher.
The pundit heaped praise on the youngster ahead of the opening game of the season.
Mainoo, 19, became an important player for the Red Devils after breaking into the team last season and his form won him a call up to the Euros.
He did the same for England, becoming a mainstay after Gareth Southgate started him in the first knock-out game against Slovakia.
Carragher was impressed with Mainoo's performances in Germany and he has tipped the midfielder for big things at Old Trafford.
The pundit told Sky Sports: "I think he has been an absolute revelation. I love watching him play and what he did in the summer.

"He came through last season, we were asking questions about United’s midfield. It was Casermiro needs a partner, now it’s Mainoo needs a partner. I think he is going to be a superstar."
Gary Neville and Roy Keane have also been impressed with Mainoo, highlighting the maturity he has shown in handling big games.

Neville added: "He has handled big games from minute one. Cup finals, scoring in cup finals, big away games. He was the player in such a poor team that you could rely on.
"To then do what he did in the tournament, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Conor Gallagher had played there and he became the answer. What a mesmerising start, the only thing that can stop him is himself."
