CHELSEA fans declare that Cesar Azpilicueta is “still on captain duty” after spotting him taking care of Conor Gallagher at Atletico Madrid.
Gallagher has departed Stamford Bridge for Spain in a £34million switch today.
Joao Felix has now moved in the other direction after undergoing a medical.
And Blues fans will be eager to see if Gallagher can adapt to LaLiga after an impressive campaign last season.
The midfielder will look to pick up the Spanish language as quickly as possible to smooth the transition.
But in the meantime, Gallagher has found a reliable pal in the form of ex-Blues captain Azpilicueta.

The right-back joined Atleti last summer after 11 years in London.
Azpi won two Premier League titles, two Europa Leagues, an FA Cup and the Champions League during his time at Chelsea.

And fans could not get enough of Azpilicueta’s brilliant leadership.
One said: “Captain Azpilicueta is still on duty.”
Another declared: “Captain fantastic.”
One noted: “I love Azpi, what a legend.”
Another added: “Now that’s a brother.”
Azpilicueta made 34 appearances for Atletico last season and helped them to a fourth-place finish.
But he still has some way to go to match his Chelsea record, which ended with 17 goals in 508 games following a bargain £7million move from Marseille in 2012.
