DELBOY RETURNS

Tony Bellew wants revenge over David Haye on behalf of the British public who were conned into paying for his previous two fights, according to Dereck Chisora – the last real test the Hayemaker faced five years ago

After beating Chisora inside five rounds in 2012 Haye took time away but he made a comeback in 2016 against two soft opponents

TONY BELLEW wants to batter playboy David Haye on behalf of the British public, according to the last real fighter to test the Hayemaker FIVE YEARS AGO.

Haye bounced back from a loss to Vitali Klitschko with a win over Dereck Chisora at West Ham’s Upton Park in 2012.

But he then took four years out – to pursue a film career in Hollywood – before two powder-puff opponents to announce his comeback in 2016.

And Chisora reckons the Bomber is on a revenge mission for all the fans who felt conned by Haye’s puffed-up 28-2 record.

Delboy said: “Tony is upset, he believes Haye is a conman for the fights that he put on before this.

“Tony feels the fans were not given proper fights and he has said that plenty of times.

“He has called David out and Haye has heard that and has been happy to let it build up because now it is a big fight for him and he wants to get back in.

“The weigh-in was not that bad but the press conference was serious. Tony wants to fight.”

Chisora is backing Bellew for a surprise win – he’s even had a £500 bet with grime star Lethal Bizzle – despite the two fighters looking miles apart on the scales.

But Del says Leicester’s amazing Premier League win and Haye’s jet-set lifestyle have paved the way for the Everton superfan to triumph.

Chisora said: “The underdog is winning. I am telling you the world has changed.

“Look at Leicester winning the Premier League last season. People need to believe in Tony.

“David will be complacent, he will be looking at Tony trying to come up a weight and think it will be easy.

“Haye’s last real fight was me. He has trained hard and looks great but he will be tired from all the training he has had to do to get back in shape.

“He’s been in Miami and Germany, flying in and out, even in a private jet that is tiring.”

Chisora was first-class in his last fight against Dillian Whyte in December, in a narrow split-decision loss plenty of fight fans felt went the wrong way.

Everyone wants to see the rematch but Whyte has apparently turned yellow and is trying to duck out.

The Finchley star said: “That is the fight I want. That was fight-of-the-century stuff. You have to go back 30 years for a heavyweight fight like that.

“But he is delaying and won’t sign the contract yet. We need to get it sorted.”
