Al-Ahli would require two free slots for foreign players in their squad, but currently only have one.

Sources also told that Al-Ahli do not need two new strikers as they already boast Roberto Firmino.

And on top of that, they do not have the budget required to sign both Toney and Osimhen.

It now remains to be seen if Chelsea target another striker before tonight’s deadline, or if one of Toney or Osimhen becomes available again.

The Blues are still after Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho.

But his move hinges on Raheem Sterling accepting a switch to Old Trafford.
