Champions League LIVE SCORES: Man City in goalless draw with Inter but rampant Celtic score FIVE in win – updates

Sponsored by

THE Champions League will go into a THIRD night this week with Arsenal in action on Thursday night.

The Gunners travel to Atalanta in one of six games in the competition, which includes Barcelona.

On Wednesday, Man City were frustrated against Inter and failed to find the target, but Brendan Rodgers' Celtic were absolutely rampant - scoring FIVE against Slovan Bratislava.

On Tuesday night, Liverpool got the better of Euro rivals AC Milan as they ran out 3-1 winners at the San Siro, Harry Kane netted FOUR in Bayern's 9-2 win over Dinamo Zagreb - and Aston Villa ended their 41-year wait for elite European football with a 3-0 win at Young Boys.

  • City pressing in added time

That City free-kick soon became a corner - but Inter cleared it into the home half.

  • GOAL! Celtic make history

Adam Idah's first-time finish from a classy ball by James Forrest made history for Celtic.

That's because they've never hit five in the Champions League before.

  • Foden scrambles chance

Haaland is growing frustrated - with just 14 touches so far.

And instead it was City team-mate Foden who turned quickly on the edge of the box for a bundling shot tipped away low down by Inter keeper Sommer.

Meanwhile, Gittens has bagged his and Dortmund's second goal in the space of 10 minutes at Brugge.

  • Ederson thwarts Inter sub

Inter look compact as City probe for an opening.

But outstanding Inter midfielder Barella then broke down the middle to feed Martinez on the left.

Luckily for City, the pass was overhit just a touch, but the striker still hit in for a firm low curler held by the diving Ederson.

    Latest scores:
    Man City 0-0 Inter Milan
    Celtic 4-1 Slovan Bratislava
    Club Brugge 0-1 Borussia Dortmund

  • City running out of ideas?

As we enter the final 10 minutes City might now be thinking 0-0 would be a decent score.

They are still having more of the ball - but having underperformed and seen Inter have two or three great opportunities, City can also be grateful.

However, new City sub Doku immediately tried to threaten down the right.

  • How did Mkhitaryan miss?!

Darmian went off for Inter - no doubt rueing his earlier decision to pass rather than shoot in front of goal.

But Mkhitaryan will surely have a bigger regret - swinging a volley on the turn high from 10 yards when City were once more stretched on the break.

Elsewhere, Jamie Gittens has finally put Dortmund ahead at Brugge.

City fans showed what they think of their anchorman Rodri with this banner.

The Spanish Euro 2024 winner has complained about football's increasingly-hectic football schedule.

  • GOAL! Maeda in heaven

Maeda made it 4-1 for Celtic with a sweet shot on 70 minutes look comfortable.

  • Foden so near!

City conjured a rare bout of quick, slick passing inside the box.

And when it fell to Foden he cracked a low right-footer that finally forced Sommer into a quality save.

And had it fallen to his left foot you would have expected the England ace to score.

    Man City 0-0 Inter Milan
    Celtic 4-1 Slovan Bratislava
    Club Brugge 0-0 Borussia Dortmund
    PSG 0-0 Girona

  • Haaland starved of the ball

City have been unable to give Haaland any sort of decent service in this second half.

But they had a free-kick in a dangerous position on the left after Grealish teased a foul out of the Inter backline.

However, the Italians eventually cleared it without too much bother.

  • Abdo in stitches as Micah's in a twist

Kate Abdo was left in stitches after Micah Richards' hilarious slip-up when discussing David Beckham's appearance on the show.

Manchester United and England icon Beckham, 49, stunned Richards and Jamie Carragher during CBS Sports' Champions League coverage on Tuesday night when he crept up behind them and went on to guest as a pundit on the show.

The panel returned to the normal four of Abdo, Thierry Henry, Carragher and Richards for Wednesday's broadcast.

But when they reflected on Beckham's cameo, Richards sent the studio into rapturous laughter with an unfortunate comment.

Beckham brought honey as a gift for Henry, Carragher and Richards - while Man Utd fan Abdo received a special Red Devils 1999 shirt.

Speaking about idolising Beckham, Richards said: "I got his sticky stuff as well didn't I?"

Abdo and Carragher burst into hysterics as Henry held up a sheet of paper to shield his face.

Richards then justified his comment by saying: "The honey. What is wrong with you lot's minds? It says on the honey 'David Beckham Sticky Stuff'."

  • City make changes

Phil Foden is on for City winger Savinho for the second half.

And more significantly Ilkay Gundogan has replaced Kevin De Bruyne.

That suggests KDB's knock needs caution.

    Latest scores:
    Man City 0-0 Inter Milan
    Celtic 1-0 Slovan Bratislava
    Club Brugge 0-0 Borussia Dortmund
    PSG 0-0 Girona

  • Inter causing City unexpected problems

Man City edged the goalless first period possession-wise - yet it's Inter Milan who might feel more content.

Inter keeper Sommer was not unduly stretched, whereas his side were calm, quick and incisive on the break.

Elsewhere, it's an extra-stale stalemate in Paris.

That's where PSG and Giron failed to produce a single first-half attempt on goal between them.

Club Brugge vs Borussia Dortmund is far livelier - but still without a goal.

And Liam Scales' header deservedly leads Celtic 1-0 up against Slovan Bratislava.

indeed, the Scottish champs have pressed for a second goal.
