SUNDERLAND wonderkid Chris Rigg set the bitter Tees-Wear derby on fire with a stunning finish against Middlesbrough.
Rigg, 17, was named in Regis Le Bris' starting line-up against Boro in their crunch Championship clash at the Stadium of Light.
The midfielder won over the Black Cats' faithful in the 24th minute when he scored his first goal of the season.
And the England Under-18 international did it in style with a wonderful back heel.
Patrick Roberts tried a left-footed shot from the right flank but his effort was blocked by Middlesbrough defender George Edmundson.
Rigg picked up the rebound and dribbled past goalkeeper Seny Dieng before finishing off with a right-footed back heel that set the home crowd alight.
