THE 68th edition of the Ballon d’Or has concluded with the FULL shortlist and winner announced.

This year’s ceremony was the first time in 21 years that neither Lionel Messi nor Cristiano Ronaldo were nominated in the men’s category.

The two footballing icons shared 13 of the past 16 awards, eight going to Messi and five for Ronaldo.

Karim Benzema and Luka Modric were also not included in the 30-man shortlist, meaning a first-time winner was guaranteed.

Real Madrid pair Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham were amongst the favourites after helping Los Blancos to win the Champions League, LaLiga and the Spanish Super Cup last season.

But it was Manchester City and Spain superstar Rodri who was crowned the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner after an eventful ceremony which saw Real BOYCOTT the event.
