INDIAN cricket star Nitish Kumar Reddy left his father emotional after scoring his maiden Test century against Australia at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Reddy, 21, managed 105 runs from 176 balls to achieve his first hundred and leave his dad watching on beaming with pride this morning.
Reddy had a crowd of over 83,000 fans watching on at MCG as he fought off a nervy ending in the 90s to break the 100 mark.
The India all-rounder saw Washington Sundar and Jasprit Bumrah lose their spots at the crease as he, and the crowd, began to worry that he would be stuck on 99.
But Mohammmed Siraj ensured that Reddy wouldn't be left heartbreakingly close to a century when he blocked Pat Cummins' last bowl.
Reddy then put together two singles and a four to elicit a raucous cheer from the crowd inside MCG.

Reddy Sr was seen overwhelmed with emotion from the stands as he celebrated with those around him and fought back the tears of pride.
Speaking to the media after his son's incredible achievement, Mutyala Reddy said: "For our family, it's a special day and we cannot forget this day in our life.
"He [Nitish] has been performing well since the age group of 14-15 and now in international cricket, it's a very special feeling.
