Southampton have rejected a loan bid from Ajax for forward Kamaldeen Sulemana.
Saints club record signing looked to be on his way out this month and attracted plenty of interest from Europe.
However, new boss Ivan Juric has brought him in from the cold.
Sulemana followed a goal and an assist in the FA Cup against Swansea with a superb performance in Southampton's agonising defeat at Manchester United midweek.

Manchester United and Real Betis are reportedly in talks over a loan move for Antony.
Sky Sports have claimed that discussions are ongoing and that the LaLiga side are "hopeful"; of a deal.
It is believed that the deal would be a straight loan with no purchase option.
Chelsea set Chalobah fee
Chelsea want a stunning £40million for centre-half Trevoh Chalobah after his recall from Crystal Palace, SunSport's Alan Nixon exclusively reports.
The Stamford Bridge money men expect the huge fee for the defender.
He is now available to play for Blues boss Enzo Maresca following the termination of his loan in South London.
Chalobah, who made 14 appearances for Palace, could yet play regularly for Chelsea this season.
But if anyone hits the cash target then he is likely to go.
Palace are unwilling to meet the figure and pay the 25-year-old’s wages, which are close to £7m a year.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is desperate to get Kyle Walker to AC Milan.
Talking about the England defender, the Sweden legend – who is a senior advisor at the San Siro, said: “Kyle Walker is a top player, a big leader… we’re checking what we can do for that deal, yes. We will see”.
Walker is expected to join the Serie A giants in the next coming days.

Posting on its X page, they wrote, “News has arrived that Al-Hilal Club President Fahd bin Nafel and Saad Al-Ladheeth are in London, and Salah is 99% a Hilal player and Van Dijk is close.”

Bayern Munich are close to securing the services of Chelsea's out of favour Christopher Nkunku.
Sky Sports Germany claim the forward has agreed terms with the German giants.

Man Utd misfit Antony is close to an Old Trafford exit.
ABC Sevilla claim he is discussing a move to Real Betis, who have intensified negotiations.

Utd 'chase' Ait-Nouri
Man Utd are eyeing up a move for Wolves left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri, according to reports.
The Independent says Ruben Amorim is chasing a new defender and wants more competition in the full back positions.
Nuno Mendes is his top target, however PSG are demanding a transfer fee United can't afford.
United chiefs have compiled a shortlist of alternatives, and Ait-Nouri is on the list.

"I’m very excited to be here. It’s a good project and a good opportunity, so I just can’t wait to get started," The England U20 international said.

Garnacho temperament
ALEJANDRO GARNACHO could miss out on a transfer away from Manchester United after two interested clubs raised questions about his attitude, reports suggest.
The 20-year-old has been linked with a transfer this month, with Serie A leaders Napoli and Premier League rivals Chelsea both interested.
Man Utd are said to want at least £50million for the winger.
However, the two interested clubs are said to be "seeking reassurance" about his temperament, according to The Telegraph.
