The teen still has 18 months on his contract at St Marys and is expected to stay there until at least the summer.

However, Toon’s current sporting director Paul Mitchell has asked his former club to keep him updated on the England U21 ace’s future.

But they will face a battle for Dibling’s signature with long-term admirers Liverpool believed to be leading the chase.

  • Almiron linked with MLS return

Newcastle wideman Miguel Almiron could head back to the MLS.

The PA news agency reckon Charlotte FC have held initial talks over recruiting the ex-Atlanta star.

That tones down suggestions Stateside that a deal has already been agreed for the Paraguay star.

Almiron, 30, joined the Magpies from Atlanta five years ago for £21million.

  • Clubs queue for Etihad starlet

Manchester City winger James McAtee is being eyed by a string of Prem and continental clubs.

However, City’s recent struggles mean they are unlikely to sanction a departure this month.

Ruben Amorim is chasing a new keeper, reports say.

The Manchester United boss wants serious competition for Andre Onana at Old Trafford.

Royal Antwerp’s Belgian stopper Senne Lammens, 22, has been watched by scouts

It's believed the Canadian-born star would cost around £21milion - if Milan decided to cash in.

  • Man Utd eye stunning Rashford for Osimhen swap

EXCLUSIVE: Marcus Rashford is at the centre of a stunning swap deal involving Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, write CHARLIE WYETT and MARTI BLACKBURN.

The £60million-rated Manchester United forward has snubbed three offers from Saudi Arabia — worth up to £675,000 A WEEK — because he wants to win back his England place.

A move to another European club would give Rashford a platform to do that with Napoli’s former Tottenham boss Antonio Conte looking at a deal for the disillusioned star.

Under-fire United manager Ruben Amorim is desperate to strengthen this month and Conte’s interest in Rashford, 27, has opened the door to signing Osimhen.

The Nigerian — who has a £62m release clause — is on loan at Galatasaray but United could land the 26-year-old this month.

The 22-year-old has earned rave reviews since joining the La Liga club from RB Salzburg last summer.

Sucic has since been linked with a big-money switch to Old Trafford.

He told Sportske Novosti: “I read about it myself.

“No one called me from England. I’m contracted to Real Sociedad, where I feel good, nice, where I fit in perfectly.

“Did the clubs talk? I don’t know, and I’m not bothered by this topic. There have been stories like this before, and there will be again.”

  • Pep targets major double signing

Manchester City are eyeing a double raid for Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush and Atalanta midfielder Ederson, writes MARTIN BLACKBURN.

Pep Guardiola wants to spend this month to reignite his season.

Omar Marmoush might be tough to prise away from Eintracht
Omar Marmoush might be tough to prise away from Eintracht

Egyptian star Marmoush, 25, would add firepower to the champions’ struggling frontline. And boss Guardiola feels Ederson can help City cope without crocked linchpin Rodri

Marmoush - also linked with Arsenal and Liverpool - has 18 goals in 24 games for Frankfurt this season.

They sit third in the Bundesliga, so they are reluctant to sell now.

Nottingham Forest had two bids for Marmoush — up to £28million — rejected in the summer and he is now valued in the £50m bracket.

Serie A leaders Atalanta would want a similar fee for Ederson.

Guardiola feels the Brazilian, 25, would add much-needed midfield steel.

  • Jamal heading back from Brazil

Jamal Lewis has confirmed that his Brazilian adventure is over due to injury.

The full-back, 26, hit the headlines in September when he left Newcastle United to join Sao Paulo on loan.

That season-long package included an option to make it permanent once his Toon deal expired in June.

Lewis made just six appearances, three of them starts, before suffering an ankle injury.

With the opening of the January transfer window, Sao Paulo have now triggered a clause to terminate the loan with the Northern Ireland ace returning to Newcastle for treatment.

The ex-Norwich City man posted on social media: “I'm disappointed that I won't be able to continue my journey with Sao Paulo FC next season.

“I've been having an issue that's been giving me a lot of pain when I've been playing for months, requiring surgery and a few months of recovery.

“Sorry, I couldn't show my gratitude to the fans for showing my true level on the pitch. I wish the Tricolor all the best in the future!”

He now faces a battle to return to full fitness ahead of becoming a likely free agent this summer as he is deemed surplus to requirements by Toon boss Eddie Howe.

  • England dream at centre of Rashford future

Marcus Rashford has turned down three money-spinning moves to Saudi Arabia as he weighs up his next move, writes MARTIN BLACKBURN.

A switch to the Middle East could have seen the Manchester United forward bank around £35 million a year – considerably more than he picks up at Old Trafford.

But the 27-year-old has knocked back the approaches from three clubs there as he is determined to win back his place in the England squad.

So if he does leave his boyhood club this month, it would only be to a team and league that will give him the platform to do that.

That means a switch to Turkey has also been ruled out by Rashford and his camp – despite reported interest from Fenerbahce.

He currently earns around £315, 000 a week with United and the wages on the table from Saudi would have almost doubled that.

Catching the eye of new Three Lions coach Thomas Tuchel is a big priority for the 60-cap forward as he has not played any international football since March.

Despite saying in December he is ready for the next steps and a new challenge, it is understood he has not ruled out staying at United – and he is under contract until 2028.

  • Gunners must spend Isak of money

Paul Merson has told Arsenal to break the bank for £80m-rated Newcastle star Alexander Isak, writes JORDAN DAVIES.

However, the Gunners legend admits they may not need to in the January transfer window if Gabriel Jesus continues his impressive goal scoring form.

Having scored just once in 33 appearances, Brazilian striker Jesus now has six from his last four in all competitions after netting in Wednesday’s 3-1 win over Brentford.

But with Bukayo Saka – who has nine goals in all competitions so far – out injured until at least March, boss Mikel Arteta could be in the market for another attacker this month, for the right price.

And ex-Arsenal midfielder Merson sees Isak, 25 – with 12 goals and four assists in 17 Prem outings for the Toon and three-and-a-half years left on his contract – as the answer.

Merson said: “If I was Arsenal and had the money, I'd go out and buy [Alexander] Isak. I'd break the bank for him. He's the best of the best and takes Arsenal to another level.

“If Jesus can keep doing what he's doing, they won't have to [bring in a striker].

“But looking at the all-round picture and next season as well, if they can get hold of Isak, who I think is the best in the business at the moment, I think that would be a massive coup for Arsenal.”

  • Cornet blows it with Saints

Southampton could cut Maxwell Cornet's loan from West Ham short.

New Saints' boss Ivan Juric is looking to shake up the squad of the Prem's bottom side.

And he openly admitted that Ivorian winger Cornet 28, cold be one of the players heading out.

Juric said: “That is maybe an idea, that he can come back to West Ham.

“The plan was that as we have lots of players, we have to reduce

“Then we will have a meeting next week when I will set my ideas, after two or three weeks of working here, to see what we need to be getting better.”

  • It's McAtee time

Manchester City winger James McAtee is being eyed by a string of Prem and continental clubs.

The £25m-rated ace, 22, shone on loan at Sheffield United but has struggled for game time at the Etihad under Pep Guardiola.

However, City’s recent struggles mean they are unlikely to sanction a departure this month.

  • Toon to fight Liverpool for Tyler

Newcastle are ready to join Liverpool in the transfer battle for Southampton star Tyler Dibling, writes GARY STONEHOUSE.

Ex-sporting director Dan Ashworth tried and failed to sign the 18-year-old attacker two years ago as Chelsea pounced.

Dibling could not settle in London and returned to the South Coast and has since burst into the first-team and has shone despite their struggles in the top-flight.

  • Gunners 'ready to activate Nico release clause'

Nico Williams' future has blazed back into the spotlight.

And top of the speculation from Spain is that Arsenal are prepared to trigger the Athletic Bilbao winger's release clause of more than £48million - THIS MONTH.

Barcelona are still said to be keen on the Euro 2024 hero.

But the LaLiga giants are not expected to make any approach until the summer.

In contrast, Blaugrana claim the Gunners are ready to bid in the current transfer window.

That's partly due to injury to Arsenal's star wideman Bukayo Saka.
