Championship League snooker LIVE RESULTS: Bingham, Jones, O’Connor, and Selt all make it to Group Five
CHAMPIONSHIP LEAGUE snooker is well underway with some huge names featuring.
Stuart Bingham and Mark Selby have reached Group 5 for when the tournament reconvenes on January 20.
Earlier in the week, Ronnie O'Sullivan lost to Robert Milkins and decided to withdraw from the event following the defeat.
The Championship League is a non-ranking event and has a small prize pot but players see it as the perfect warm-up after the Christmas break.

Selt cleared to the pink for 102 - leaving the black as he wasn't on it - to halve the deficit against Jones with a 107-17 break.
O'Connor rattled up a 71 table visit to take his opener against Page 87-37.

Selt took ages to weigh up a blue - before potting it and getting right into the reds.
Now he looks set to overhaul Jones and get on the board.
O'Connor is into his 20s with a useful break that's put him on top in the opener against Page.

Selt has blown promising positions in both frames as Jones leads 2-0.
Selt was well placed to come back from behind and looked in control of the situation.
But instead Jones eked out a 51-32 lead that was enough for his opponent to concede the frame.

O'Connor stormed back to become the becomes the first player to beat Selby today.
Trailing 42-0, O'Connor notched a 71 break as coolly as you could wish to see.
Meanwhile, Selt has just snookered Jones - which the Welshman failed to get out of.
And although Jones still leads the frame, Selt now looks the slight favourite to take it.

Selby went 42-0 up before O'Connor got off the mark in their decider.
A brown then helped O'Connor get in position for what he hopes will be a pivotal break.
Jones is fighting back on the other table as he attempts to double his lead over Selt.

O’Connor has made it two frames in a row - so we're in a deciding fifth frame against Selby.
And Jones stormed back for a clearance that overturned Selt's sizeable early lead in their opening frame.

O'Connor ground his way back into the match with Selby courtesy of a 72-35 frame-three win.

Bingham's scintillating 143 clearance has left him on course for the highest break of the tournament.
And it completed a revival from 2-1 down to topple Robertson 3-2.
It gives Bingham three wins today - whereas defeat would have left him and Robertson on two apiece.

Bingham is into the 80s and with 145 the most he can get from a brilliant break.
So a comeback win over Robertson seems assured.

Robertson racked up a 54 break to take the lead against Bingham with a 78-1 frame.
That's not a bad comeback as he'd lost the first frame despite Bingham needing snookers.
In contrast, Selby's SECOND frame with O'Connor is turning into a marathon.
But the ex-world champ is into his 30s with his current break.

Robertson has done something he's struggled to do all year - take a frame off Bingham!
And he did it in style - a break of 78 levelling the match at 1-1 with a 78-9 success.

Bingham blundered to let in Robertson early in the second frame.
And so far he looks as if a big break is on the cards.

Selby only had a few minutes' turnaround before he launched his match with fellow English ace Joe O'Connor.
And the latter is building nicely with reds and pinks.

Selby recovered from losing the first frame to overcome Jones comfortably enough.
But having amassed a 92 break to level, there were no notable table-visits in the final two frames, which he took 74-9 and then 61-17.

Selt finally bagged his first victory of the day.
A 63 break put him command of the fourth frame against Page.
And although the Welshman cut the deficit to 43 to give himself a chance, Selt eventually cut in a great red to leave Page needing snookers again.
The latter promptly conceded the frame - and the match.

Selby duly took the third frame 74-9 to move one from victory.
Page struggled to find the snooker he needed on the other table.
But after potting as pink he finally drew a foul from Selt - leaving him 43 behind with 43 points on the table.

Selby looks on top in the third frame with Jones.
And Selt is building neatly on the other table - using the rest to tickle in a red, putting him onto the black and into the 30s.

Selt conceded the third frame when well behind as Page got back into the contest with a 68 break for a 69-0 success.
And Selby compiled 31 with a table-visit that could have defined his third frame with Jones.
Instead he missed a red - although Jones was unable to take advantage.

Selby notched a 93 table-visit of his own to level with a 123-1 success in the second frame.
And Selt has gone 2-0 up in confident style against Page - a 71 break seeing him home 72-0.

Selby is developing his second useful break of the second frame as he bids to level against Jones.
Meanwhile, Selt has compiled a half-century break with the promise of much more to come against Page.

But the English ace hit back well to build a healthy lead in the second frame.
