Championship League snooker LIVE RESULTS: Bingham, Jones, O’Connor, and Selt all make it to Group Five

CHAMPIONSHIP LEAGUE snooker is well underway with some huge names featuring.

Stuart Bingham and Mark Selby have reached Group 5 for when the tournament reconvenes on January 20.

Earlier in the week, Ronnie O'Sullivan lost to Robert Milkins and decided to withdraw from the event following the defeat.

The Championship League is a non-ranking event and has a small prize pot but players see it as the perfect warm-up after the Christmas break.

    Selt cleared to the pink for 102 - leaving the black as he wasn't on it - to halve the deficit against Jones with a 107-17 break.

    O'Connor rattled up a 71 table visit to take his opener against Page 87-37.

    Now he looks set to overhaul Jones and get on the board.

    Selt was well placed to come back from behind and looked in control of the situation.

    O'Connor stormed back to become the becomes the first player to beat Selby today.

    Trailing 42-0, O'Connor notched a 71 break as coolly as you could wish to see.

    Meanwhile, Selt has just snookered Jones - which the Welshman failed to get out of.

    And although Jones still leads the frame, Selt now looks the slight favourite to take it.

    Selby went 42-0 up before O'Connor got off the mark in their decider.

    A brown then helped O'Connor get in position for what he hopes will be a pivotal break.

    And it completed a revival from 2-1 down to topple Robertson 3-2.

    It gives Bingham three wins today - whereas defeat would have left him and Robertson on two apiece.

    Robertson racked up a 54 break to take the lead against Bingham with a 78-1 frame.

    That's not a bad comeback as he'd lost the first frame despite Bingham needing snookers.

    In contrast, Selby's SECOND frame with O'Connor is turning into a marathon.

    But the ex-world champ is into his 30s with his current break.

    But having amassed a 92 break to level, there were no notable table-visits in the final two frames, which he took 74-9 and then 61-17.

    Selt finally bagged his first victory of the day.

    A 63 break put him command of the fourth frame against Page.

    And although the Welshman cut the deficit to 43 to give himself a chance, Selt eventually cut in a great red to leave Page needing snookers again.

    The latter promptly conceded the frame - and the match.

    Selt conceded the third frame when well behind as Page got back into the contest with a 68 break for a 69-0 success.

    And Selby compiled 31 with a table-visit that could have defined his third frame with Jones.

    Instead he missed a red - although Jones was unable to take advantage.
