Masters snooker 2025 LIVE RESULTS: Allen vs Selby ON NOW after Murphy MISSES 147 chance in win over Robertson – latest
MARK SELBY and Mark Allen are in action NOW in the quarters-finals of the Masters at the iconic Ally Pally
Earlier, Shaun Murphy was inspired as he put Neil Robertson to the sword to reach the semi-finals in London.
The Magician beat the late call up 6-2 and almost hit a maximum in the final frame - reaching 120 before the snooker star admitted that nerves got the better of him.
This year we will be guaranteed a new champion after reigning champ Ronnie O'Sullivan withdrew from the tournament on medical grounds. World No1 Judd Trump is on course to win a Triple Crown Grand Slam after he won the UK Championship in December.

Ripping back to form
Luca Brecel reaches the quarter finals of the Masters for only the second time in his career.
And he says he's enjoying his snooker at the moment, feeling his form is back on the up after a disappointing spell post-World Championship win in 2023.
He told the BBC: “Yeah I’m enjoying my snooker a lot. I just need to be playing a little better to have a chance here but I can only get better now.
“My form is coming. I don’t know what or when, but it’s coming!”
Luca Brecel is through!
Luca Brecel 6-3 Chris Wakelin
Some absolutely sensational pots, high drama and some crazy fouls.
It's been one heck of a Masters match and Luca Brecel comes through 6-3.
Chris Wakelin will have nightmares about his final visit in his maiden tournament but he competed well throughout!
*Luca Brecel 5-3 Chris Wakelin (68-35)
And Brecel is fair punishing him with an ongoing break of 40 and shows no signs of slowing down with the reds sitting nicely.
That foul might be Wakelin's last time at the table in this Masters.
*Luca Brecel 5-3 Chris Wakelin (28-35)
OH NO!
Setting the rest up for a stretching shot on a red and Wakelin's cue appears to slip or fall out the rest and just nudge a red in the pack a little.
He immediately calls the foul on himself but looks absolutely gutted trudging back to his chair.
Costly error at a horrible time.

Wakelin does edge ahead in the frame but he'll be a tad disappointed not to have clearer daylight to his opponent.
Brecel misses his next shot so he's back at the table.
Luca Brecel 5-3 Chris Wakelin* (24-0)
Ouch! A poor miss on a simple red for Luca Brecel and his break of 24 comes to a crashing end.
It bounces off the jaws and away from the pocket but there's a couple of options here for Wakelin to capitalise.

Chris Wakelin to break knowing he HAS to win three frames on the spin to progress...
Luca Brecel 5-3 Chris Wakelin
SUBLIME from Luca Brecel!
An utterly bizarre frame ends with three stunning pots to clinch it.
The brown is a tricky angle and that then leaves a long blue which flies into the green pocket.
Just pink needed and it's another cross-table pot which arrows into the heart of the right corner pocket. Moment of magic in a tense moment from the Belgian - he's one frame from victory!
*Luca Brecel 4-3 Chris Wakelin (45-52)
Yikes! Brecel benefits from a Wakelin foul to close the gap.
Then moments later he misses this green into the middle pocket...
Wakelin takes it on his next visit before missing a relatively simple brown.
The pressure is incredible at this moment.
Luca Brecel 4-3 Chris Wakelin* (41-49)
It's all going off here.
Wakelin gets out a snooker Brecel puts him in and flukes it into the middle left pocket!
Has to play safe with his next attempt as left no shot on the green.
Luca Brecel 4-3 Chris Wakelin* (41-47)
Brecel with a terrific long red to clear those balls.
He drops the cue ball behind the black and green for the snooker on the yellow.
Luca Brecel 4-3 Chris Wakelin (40-47)
Brecel takes the red and follows it with the blue.
But he can't leave a shot on the last remaining red near the left corner pocket, so having to play safe.
Another frame going the distance!
*Luca Brecel 4-3 Chris Wakelin (34-47)
Oh no! Wakelin is on for half a century and has a shot on the pink into the left centre pocket.
He spins the cue ball back onto one of the two remaining reds but the pink rattles the jaws and stays on the table!
That might well be a costly mistake as Brecel comes back to the table on the red and just the 13 points behind.
Luca Brecel 4-3 Chris Wakelin* (34-6)
Wakelin makes the most of a sloppy Brecel safety.
To do so he has to sink a long red from corner to corner but does so superbly to get amongst the reds. Another excellent pot keeps him at the table and he can close the gap at the very least here.
*Luca Brecel 4-3 Chris Wakelin (28-0)
Not a bad safety. Wakelin catches a red - which have now scattered - too thin and the cue ball bounces back up the table and into the yellow pocket.
Another four to Brecel who is building his lead.
Luca Brecel 4-3 Chris Wakelin* (24-0)
A good opening score from Brecel but he just struggles to open the pack.
Having hit 24, he attempts to open the reds up but isn't able to. Plays safe up the table with a lead in the frame.
Luca Brecel 4-3 Chris Wakelin (0-0)
We're in for a terrific ending to this one as things stand.
Just the one frame in it and Luca Brecel will break to get frame eight underway.

*Luca Brecel 4-2 Chris Wakelin (55-73)
It's Wakelin who moves 18 points ahead having claimed a free ball from a Brecel error.
He clears down to the pink but does miss the pink, so Brecel comes back looking for the snooker that keeps the frame alive.
*Luca Brecel 4-2 Chris Wakelin (55-54)
Over 10 minutes since a ball was last potted.
Very much in the balance this one and it's hugely pivotal to the match.

Wakelin misses it twice but gets it on the third try - snookering Brecel back behind the pink!
Luca Brecel 4-2 Chris Wakelin* (47-54)
He claws himself back into the frame, Brecel.
A tricky shot on the black to the yellow lies in wait but he carries it out superbly well. He sinks the yellow but misses the green.
Wakelin comes to the table seven in front and no margin for error for either player from here.
*Luca Brecel 4-2 Chris Wakelin (5-54)
Another Wakelin error! He screws the cue ball back from a shot into the pack of reds, potting a red into the corner pocket and sending the white into the left middle.
Four points to Brecel and a glimmer of closing the gap in this frame.
Luca Brecel 4-2 Chris Wakelin* (1-41)
Strange minute of action there. Wakelin with poor positioning ends up leaving a cuttable red into the right centre pocket for Brecel.
It's tight but the Belgian makes it and looks sure to get back into the frame.
He then somehow misses a rather easy yellow into the green pocket, putting the frame back in Wakelin's hands.
Luca Brecel 4-2 Chris Wakelin* (0-1)
A sloppy Wakelin break allows Brecel an outside chance at a long pot.
He hits it with some power and can open everything up in the process - but the red misses into the right corner pocket. It comes back up the table, kisses the cue ball and almost drops in the middle!
Instead, it's left kindly to Wakelin who now benefits from his rubbish break.
