Masters snooker 2025 LIVE RESULTS: Shaun Murphy BEATS Kyren Wilson in dramatic final to land huge £350k payday – updates
SHAUN MURPHY took home the biggest prize of his career to win the Masters on Sunday night at Ally Pally.
Murphy overcame world champ Kyren Wilson to become Masters champion for the second time in his career.
The Magician raced into a 6-2 lead in the afternoon session, but The Warrior fought back in the evening to make the showpiece match 8-7 after 15 frames.
But Murphy held firm despite Wilson’s heart to secure a 10-7 win and the biggest payday of his illustrious career (£350,000).
Earlier in the tournament, The Magician hit a stunning 147 during his semi-final triumph over Mark Allen.

Murphy celebrates win with fans
All the players this week has spoken about how much they love playing snooker in front of this Ally Pally crowd.
After all his media duties were done, Murphy took time to have photos with the fans that have made it a special week for him.
It is always nice to see a grounded champion who has time for the people who have cheered him on.

The only player to achieve a 147 break this week was fittingly the man who went on to win the tournament.
Murphy almost did it in his quarter-final before the cue ball cruelly ran up behind the blue snookering him.
When it came to his semi-final, he was able to put ghosts of that error behind him and Ally Pally erupted as the black went in.
The hardest achievement in sport is always a great watch.
Never easy to take defeat
Speaking with BBC Sport after the match, the current world champion gave his thoughts on the final:
I just made it too easy for Shaun. You can’t do that with a player like him. I showed why I am world champion with the comeback though. Well done to Shaun, great way to win it with the century break. I’ve lost, I’m gutted but I am gonna consume so many Jägerbombs tonight. The crowd have been amazing all week, thank you very much.

He has looked a completely different player this week to the one we have seen over the last few years.
His partnership with new coach Peter Ebdon seems to have made all the difference to The Magician.

I’m totally in shock. I thought my days at the business end of these competitions was gone. Fair play to Peter Ebdon, he has convinced me that I am still good enough to be doing it. I must pay tribute to Kyren, I know what is like to lose in these finals and he carries himself so well. There was a stage where it was panic stations, all credit to Kyren. The 147 yesterday was one of the biggest moments of my life. The crowd have been unbelievable, you’re one of the best in the whole world.
