THE first World Series of Darts event of the year will take place this week as some of the sport's biggest names head to Bahrain.

Luke Littler will be in action in the Middle East, fresh from his historic World Darts Championship win earlier this month.

The teenage sensation capped off an astounding breakthrough year by beating Michael van Gerwen in the Ally Pally final to become darts' youngest-ever world champion.

Littler returns to Bahrain this week, the place where he hit a stunning nine-darter en route to winning his first PDC senior title last year.

World No1 Luke Humphries and new Premier League Darts recruits Stephen Bunting and Chris Dobey will also feature in the 16-player field.
