‘I put it on my head’ Novak Djokovic shows off bizarre new health fad he wears during flights to reduce stress
The tennis superstar is no stranger to unusual health practices
NOVAK DJOKOVIC has revealed the latest secret behind his success on the court - and it's not new coach Andy Murray.
Djokovic has claimed that an "energy disc" helps him to stay in tip top condition, battling stomach issues and inflammation before a match.

The Serbian, 37, is preparing for his first match of the Australian Open and has a secret weapon to help him get ready to take on Nishesh Basavareddy on Monday.
The world number seven revealed in an interview with GQ that he uses a small "energetic disc" to aid his recovery and preparation as well as keeping him ticking along when he is struggling with stomach problems.
Explaining the unusual health fad, Djokovic said: "It’s [an] energetic disc, [it] creates an electromagnetic field around it and [the] kind of secret is in this pattern.
"And so when you place it on a certain part of your body, place this part, for example, if you have stomach issues, which I do have often when I’m nervous, stressed before the match or indigestion issues, that creates heat.

“So then it starts enhancing the metabolic functions or it reduces inflammation in certain part of the body.”
Djokovic went on to explain that he has had the green disc specially made for him and that he makes a point of taking it everywhere with him.
He added: "A doctor that I know in Serbia, who is also an engineer, he created this disc for me and I have a bunch of those and I do carry it everywhere.
“When I fly in the plane, I put it on [my] head or somewhere.

“I shouldn’t be having it on the body parts for too long, so like 20-30 minutes it does its work.”
Fans couldn't believe what they were seeing, shocked by the claims Djokovic was making about what looks like a plastic frisbee at first glance.

One reacted online saying: "This is a joke right?"
While another joked: "Is his doctor in Serbia Doctor Strange?"
But strange health opinions and techniques are nothing unusual for Djokovic, who has garnered attention for his bizarre claims in the past.
Back in 2023, Djokovic strapped a small coin-like device to his chest during a match in the French Open.
He later explained that it was a wearable nanotechnology device that combines acupuncture with light therapy.
While the 24-time Grand Slam winner has also been known for his "pseudoscience" beliefs.
Djokovic previously revealed he was opposed to the Covid-19 vaccine, leading to him being deported from Australia in 2022 after his visa was revoked.

For now, Djokovic has made a different kind of step to improve his talents on the court - hiring a former rival.
