A COMMENTATOR was left cracking up after darts icon Steve Beaton nearly fell off a stage at the MODUS Super Series.
The incident occurred in Beaton’s match against Devon Petersen, which he won 4-2.
It saw Beaton go to the top of the table with eight points after four wins in five matches.
But his darts victory was nearly overshadowed by a wobbly moment on stage.
Beaton, known as the Bronzed Adonis during his heyday, and Petersen had enjoyed a lively start to the match which even saw them play a game of rock, paper, scissors.
But after a throw at the board, Beaton made his way to the edge of the stage before misplacing his foot.

The icon, who used to rock a mullet and moustache combo, appeared to stumble as he put one leg in the wrong place.
And he quickly dropped off the stage’s small rise before steadying himself and jumping back on.
Opponent Petersen cracked a smile as he ensured Beaton was OK.
But a commentator watching the incident couldn’t help but laugh.

Laura Turner first said: “I think the players need a bit of a moment.
“I think me and Henry need a bit of a moment!
“Steve Beaton managed to find an ever-so slightly softer part of the stage there.
“He’s just put his foot down it. He’s saved himself though, it was quite impressive.”
Fellow commentator Henry Deacon chimed in: “How was your trip Steve?”
Fans were left giggling too, with one saying: “Almost Steve!”
Another declared: “That stage is way too small.”
One noted: “The mind games are crazy.”
Another added: “Either the stage is too small or you’re trying to kill off the Bronzed Adonis.”
