A RACING punter stands to win a life-changing sum from an 'unreal' £5 Cheltenham Festival bet he placed in December.

The £2.50 each-way six-fold acca is made up entirely of favourites - with five of them having shortened dramatically since he laid the money down.

Cheltenham doesn't start for another eight weeks but punters have been piling into ante-post bets since the last Festival ended in the hope of securing massive odds about big runners.

But surely there is nothing out there better than the six this punter has found, with the return an eye-popping £39,584.40.

Should the punter wish to cash out now he could do so for £95.90.

But he surely won't do that with so many of his fancies having such strong chances.

The punter backed current 4-1 Supreme Novices' Hurdle fav Salvator Mundi at 7-1.

A huge mover in his slip is 4-5 Arkle fav Sir Gino, who he backed at 8-1.

It's another Nicky Henderson horse who could keep the bet going on day one, courtesy of Constitution Hill.

The former Champion Hurdle king roared back to life in the Christmas Hurdle at Kempton and is now a best-priced 10-11.

But the punter found him at 4-1 a few weeks before his comeback.

Of the six horses it is Champion Chase fav Jonbon who is the only one who has not shortened in the market.

Willie Mullins costs punters thousands on 1-100 certainty after incredible end to Naas race

But it's not for doing anything wrong, with him having won the Tingle Creek at Sandown in December.

He is still 9-4 for the day two feature, though Willie Mullins is readying the likes of Gaelic Warrior, El Fabiolo and Energumene to take him on.

If the miracle bet is still rolling onto Thursday then it should be an easy watch with Stayers' Hurdle fav Teahupoo.

Gordon Elliott's defending champ was backed at 2-1 in the bet but he is now a best-priced 6-4.

Arguably the most obvious of all the six was Galopin Des Champs in the Gold Cup.

Just this morning Mullins' stable star - who is going for a hat-trick in the big race - was trimmed into odds-on 10-11 with Coral and Ladbrokes.

But the punter whacked him in his acca at 7-2 - now the price of second-fav Fact To File, who might not even run the race if he is switched to the Ryanair.

Fellow punters labelled the Nostradamus-like punt 'unreal' while another commented: "Six races to 40 bags of glory. The best of luck!"

Winning big at Cheltenham is nothing new for shrewd punters who seem to have an ability to predict the future.
