GOLF legend John Daly has been rushed to hospital and forced to undergo emergency surgery.
The five-time PGA Tour winner is facing a lengthy spell away from the game after having an operation on his left hand.
The 58-year-old revealed the news on social media with a picture of him bandaged up in a hospital bed.
Daly captioned his X post: "Emergency hand surgery... thankful it went great and Doc McClimans for taking care of me. Be back playing in no time!"
In a separate Instagram post, with the location tagged as Tampa, Florida, he added: "Thanks for all the messages 🧡🏌️♀️."
Daly did not reveal how his injuries came about but it is believed that an accident occurred within the last fortnight.

That is because Daly made headlines after hitting golf balls over a road on New Year's Eve.
Daly's love of booze is legendary and he has partnered with Good Boy Vodka to release a range of ready-to-drink cocktails.
Minutes after sharing a post from his hospital ward, the American was plugging the drinks on his stories.
The Lion won two Majors during his golf career - the 1991 PGA and then the 1995 Open.
