LUK WHO'S BACK

Bahrain Darts Masters 2025 LIVE RESULTS: Luke Littler safely through to quarters, Cross CRASHES OUT to world 94 – latest

DARTS is BACK with the Bahrain Darts Masters now underway in the Middle East - and Luke Littler has safely made it into the quarter-finals.

Teenage sensation Littler and the rest of the field feature for the first time since he became darts' youngest-ever world champion less than a fortnight ago.

There has already been a MASSIVE shock in the tournament with former world champion and current world No 4 Rob Cross LOSING to world No 94 Paolo Nebrida.

World No1 Luke Humphries will also compete in Bahrain as he looks to put his Ally Pally disappointment behind him and kicked off his campaign with an easy 6-0 win.

  • *Peter Wright 3-1 Alexis Toylo

He was first at a double, leaving 32 and misses the D16 twice, actually creeping into the single 8.

No problem for Wright though who takes out D12 for another break of throw.

  • Peter Wright 2-1 Alexis Toylo*

Yes, this leg it still going on, hence the waffling.

Wright moves ahead in the leg and looks like getting first go at a double.

  • Peter Wright 2-1 Alexis Toylo*

And Toylo's got the board covered in plenty of chalk now too, which he uses to grip his darts.

  • Peter Wright 2-1 Alexis Toylo*

    This is painful to watch.

  • Peter Wright 2-1 Alexis Toylo*

After a first leg wobble, Wright has bounced back very very well.

He's comfortably ahead throughout the leg and has four misses at a double before he's put under pressure by Toylo, who has four fresh air throws to get ready - looking like he's throwing chewing gum or something off stage - before missing D16 himself.

Wright comes back to take D16 out at the fifth attempt and move ahead in the game.

  • *Peter Wright 1-1 Alexis Toylo

After a good first leg of scoring, Toylo hits a combined 89 from his first six darts when holding throw.

So Wright takes the initiative of his own on the Toylo throw.

He moves away from the Filipino before a 180 from Toylo makes it a close game as both are around 200.

But it's a 14-dart break of throw for Wright to take the second leg and break back.

  • Peter Wright 0-1 Alexis Toylo*

A break of throw for Toylo to open this match and he'll be pleased with that.

Wright didn't ever really get going and handed the initiative early in the leg.

A 100 when left on 220 to leave 120 not enough to pressure Toylo who takes out 47.

  • *Peter Wright 0-0 Alexis Toylo

And it's the Livingston-born man to throw first.

A chance to fill up my water as Toylo's routine is more than a bit outrageous.

  • Onto the next

The seventh - and penultimate - contest of the night and it's another former world champion.

It's Peter Wright taking on Alexis Toylo!

Snakebite with the red and white outfit and red mohawk this time around. Big smile on his face, let's hope his form from the Worlds continues.

  • Who does Luke Littler play next?

The 17-year-old will play Gerwyn Price in tomorrow's quarter finals.

  • No doubt

I never doubted him and Luke Littler proved why he's the defending world and Bahrain Masters champ.

That 142 check out in leg eight just taking the wind right out Lourence Ilagan at the right time.

Even when put under pressure and in trouble, he just pulls a rabbit out the hat to get over the line.

A 94.36 average in the end is alright and comfortable enough in the end.

  • Luke Littler is through!

    Luke Littler 6-3 Lourence Ilagan

A mid-match wobble but Luke Littler ends up coasting through to the quarter finals.

Ilagan pushed him in that middle spell but maybe just got a bit too excited at the thought of that opportunity rising.

The last two legs from Littler were something else, including anothrt 180 in the last leg.

He checks out on D20 with ilagan left on 232 and it's a routine enough win for the world champion.

  • *Luke Littler 5-3 Lourence Ilagan

Hahaha, how absolutely stupid of me.

Ilagan actually had a bit of an advantage in the leg before Littler banged in a 180.

He finishes the leg with a cracking 142 check out and moves to within one of victory. The flick of a switch.

  • Luke Littler 4-3 Lourence Ilagan*

Whisper it quietly, might Littler might be in trouble...?

  • Luke Littler 4-3 Lourence Ilagan*

A BREAK of throw for Ilagan! We're back on throw now!

Littler throwing first and his first two visits are 26, 25. He hasn't done that since he was 8 months old likely.

A shocker of an opener and when Ilagan hit a 140 in his second visit, it looked like only going one way.

Littler eventually clawed his way back in but great set-up play from Ilagan left D20 and when Littler couldn't take out 160, Ilagan came back to clean up.

  • *Luke Littler 4-2 Lourence Ilagan

Ilagan with the hold of throw - and a dominant leg at that.

Ilagan opens up with a 180, his second of the night and has SIX missed darts at a double before finally hitting D4 for it.

Littler was well behind and slowly came back into it, missing one dart at bullseye to snatch it.

  • Luke Littler 4-1 Lourence Ilagan*

Ilagan does get down to a two-dart combo but Littler was just short on a shot at tops in the visit prior.

So he'll come back for double 10 and won't miss it this time, will he?

He WILL, edging into D6 instead but quickly cleans up on D4.

  • *Luke Littler 3-1 Lourence Ilagan

Break of throw for the 17-year-old and he's well in control now.

He has another missed dart at 7 for an 86 check out but Ilagan finds the 1 bed a couple of times to fail to put pressure on on his own throw.

Littler comes back and hits 3, D2 to put daylight between them.

  • Luke Littler 2-1 Lourence Ilagan*

    CLOSE TO THE BIG FISH!

But before that, Ilagan hits his first 180 and marches away, he's totally pumped up!

Fast forward a couple of visits, Littler is less than an inch too high on the bullseye for a 170 check out and with Ilagan well behind he looks comfortable to come back and clean up the 25.

He goes 5 first and misses two at double 10 - a bit of a surprise. But he's so clear ahead in the leg he comes back for D5 in one throw.

  • *Luke Littler 1-1 Lourence Ilagan

A good hold for Ilagan, with Littler a touch off the boil to allow his opponent a couple of poor visits to close the leg out.

He's well short with a D20 attempt and comes back hitting single 10 on his next visit. He's allowed back for D5 and he looks pumped up.

  • Luke Littler 1-0 Lourence Ilagan*

A huge cheer as he hits a 180 in his third visit to leave 100 - half the score of Ilagan at that stage.

The Filipino poses a little question on the 55 Littler leaves by hitting a ton of his own but Littler needs two darts to take out the 55.

    A 13-dart leg to start.

  • *Luke Littler 0-0 Lourence Ilagan

The defending Bahrain and world champion will throw first!

  • What an introduction

"And the newly crowned champion of the woooooooorld."

What a feeling that must be to hear that for the very first time for Luke Littler. He looks unfazed with his hands in his pockets mind you.

A smile as he climbs the stairs to the stage and an embrace with Ilagan.

  • From one Luke to another

From the world number one to the world champion - and defending Bahrain champion.

Luke Littler comes next as he plays Filipino Lourence Ilagan!

The television coverage has just shown him doing off-road driving in Bahrain yesterday. He was a passenger as he can't drive yet.

He ended saying 'what an experience'. His face told an entirely different story.
