AC MILAN have abandoned their pursuit of Marcus Rashford in their bid to land Kyle Walker, reports claim.
Both England stars are desperate to escape Manchester amid torrid seasons - with both on the Italian giants' radar.
However, Serie A rules only allow clubs to register one British player per year.
And Milan have opted to bolster their defence with a move for 34-year-old Manchester City right-back Walker.
The 93-cap England star has won six Premier League titles at the Etihad, but has slipped down Pep Guardiola's pecking order amid a turbulent year on and off the pitch.
Now, claim Milan have decided against a move for Rashford - who has been frozen out under new Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim - in order to land Walker.

report Walker and Milan have agreed to personal terms on a two-and-a-half-year contract, expiring at the end of the 2026-27 season - by which time he will be 37.
And Matteo Moretto has revealed Walker is in talks to TERMINATE his Man City contract - currently due to run until the end of next season - allowing him to complete a free transfer.
There had been reports that Walker would only be leaving the Etihad on loan.
However, the latest reports suggest the move will be permanent.

Talks are scheduled for later on Friday and a deal could be announced by the weekend.
Last weekend, SunSport exclusively revealed Walker was being targeted by Inter Milan.
But AC Milan now appear to be leading the race - and that could spell the end of Fikayo Tomori's spell at the Rossoneri.
Walker has dramatically asked to quit Man City for a move abroad.
His desire to leave was announced by manager Pep Guardiola after last week's 8-0 mauling of Salford in the FA Cup.
Guardiola revealed: "It's not easy for me to say but Kyle is not here because two days ago he asked to explore the options to play abroad at the end of his career.
"He asked two years ago after the Treble, when Bayern wanted him, but the offer was not good enough."
Earlier this week, SunSport revealed Walker had rejected a mega-money move to Saudi Arabia.
The defender feared a move to the lucrative Saudi League would end his chance of adding to his 93 Three Lions caps.

For Rashford, meanwhile, he is being chased by a host of clubs, with Napoli seemingly leading the race as they aim to replace PSG-bound Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Interest remains from Saudi Arabia, but Rashford, who wants to get his place in the England squad back, isn’t believed to be keen on the idea of a move there.
