Trump, 35, has been in stunning form over the past year.

He has already won the Shanghai Masters, Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters and UK Championship so far this season.

There are still four months remaining of the 2024/25 campaign.

And after Trump's comeback win against Ding, he is guaranteed to leave Ally Pally with at least £75,000.

That cheque takes his season total to a whopping £1,295,200 - more than any other player in history.

Ronnie O'Sullivan previously held the single-season earnings record after pocketing a cool £1,265,500 in the 2023/24 season.

But despite his bulging bank balance, all of Trump's immediate focus is on winning a third Masters crown.

The Ace in the Pack said: "I always believe I'm going to win, even if I'm 5-1 down.

"It's pleasing for snooker that the players can put on a show like this, it's in safe hands."

Trump is bidding to become the first player to win all four majors in a single season.

If he wins the Masters title and follows it up with the World Championship, his prize money haul for the season would eclipse £2million.
