More on Delap
Chelsea are closing in on Ipswich Town star Liam Delap in a major blow for Manchester United.
SunSport revealed exclusively on May 14 that the Blues were growing increasingly confident they could beat United to the £30million forward.
A deal could be announced as early as next week as Chelsea look to build on a strong finish to the season.
They won the Conference League on Wednesday just three days after securing a top four Premier League slot and qualifying for next season's Champions League.
Delap, 22, scored 12 goals despite getting relegated with Town.
He has a £30m release clause in his contract and is keen to join boss Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge.
Manchester United were interested but their lack of European football next season works against them.
Cristiano Ronaldo latest
Al-Nassr are confident they can keep Cristiano Ronaldo just days after the Manchester United legend indicated he would leave the club.
Ronaldo declared earlier this week his “chapter is over” in Saudi Arabia.
Speculation had already begun on the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s next destination with him seemingly in no mood to retire.
But Al-Nassr sporting director Fernando Hierro believes he can change the 40-year-old’s mind and get him to pen a new deal.
I have to be positive. I don’t think Ronaldo will leave Al-Nassr. In any case, we are working hard on all aspects.
Ronaldo’s contract with Al-Nassr runs until the end of June 30.
We will work to renew his contract so he can continue with us, and there are many clubs interested in signing him.
He is a huge phenomenon in the history of football and has helped the league grow.
We are in contact to renew his contract and hope he continues with us.

Bruno Fernandes is entertaining a shock move to Saudi Arabia, it's been claimed.
Manchester United's skipper is currently being eyed by Al-Hilal, who are looking to make a marquee signing this summer following Neymar's departure.

And the 30-year-old is said to be "giving serious consideration" to the move.
That's according to The Athletic, who claims talks for the Portugal international to join Al-Hilal are already underway.
Should Fernandes accept the lucrative offer on the table, his last game as a Red Devil could take place TODAY.
United play Hong Kong in a friendly this afternoon as part of their end-of-season tour of Asia.

And it’s understood the England Under-21 international now just needs to agree personal terms.

Red Devils caught Napping with Scott sale
COMMENT: It is questionable why any Scotsman would venture outside in 27 degrees of searing Italian sunshine, writes ANDY DILLON.
Proceeding to slug neat whisky from a bottle while sitting atop a roofless bus the day before meeting the Pope represents a whole new level of judgement.
Scott McTominay’s hands were probably shaking with more than nerves as he stood to meet Leo XIV while nursing a biblical hangover.
But as a young man with the world at his feet and a Serie A winner’s medal round his neck, Scottish football’s new Messiah can do whatever he likes. And besides, daft decisions have been following him around for some time.
Not least the one by his former club Manchester United, who thought it great business to flog him to Napoli for £25million last summer, having rejected a bid of £30m from West Ham because it was not enough.
Despite being 6ft 3in, McTominay could never look Paul Scholes, Roy Keane, Paul Ince or Bryan Robson in the eye.
But he has scored more goals this term than Rasmus Hojlund — United’s £72m striker. He also scored on the final day for Napoli, who won the Scudetto by a solitary point.
McTominay’s sale was dressed up as a financial necessity but the £42m splashed out on replacement Manuel Ugarte doesn’t look like the best trade off.

Saudis insist Ronaldo might stay
Al-Nassr reckon they can keep Cristiano Ronaldo - despite Manchester United legend suggesting he'll leave.
The 40-year-old declared earlier this week his "chapter is over" in Saudi Arabia, two years after his abrupt Old Trafford departure.
The Portugal striker has failed to win a major trophy with Al-Nassr but topped the Saudi Pro League scoring charts two seasons in a row.
