Man Utd transfer news LIVE: Hojlund set for loan after TWO seasons in England, United eye Cunha alongside Delap deal

MANCHESTER UNITED are ready for a HUGE summer transfer window - with Ruben Amorim expected to overhaul the squad with plenty of players arriving AND leaving.

Rasmus Hojlund has struggled for goals since his arrival in the Premier League, and already looks set to depart the club on loan this summer, with Juventus interested.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils continue to monitor Liam Delap, and his reported £30million relegation release clause, and are interested in bringing in Wolves Matheus Cunha alongside him.

The Red Devils have been put on alert with Everton expecting to lose Jarrad Branthwaite this summer, SunSport can exclusively reveal.

  • Amorim's Desire

Manchester United are reportedly huge admirers of PSG's Desire Doue.

But they would have to shell out an eye-watering sum to land the 19-year-old from France.

Fichajes state that PSG boss Luis Enrique views the French international as a "cornerstone" of his project.

The teenager has racked up 12 goals and 12 assists in 43 games this season.

And the Ligue 1 champions have valued Doue at £258million.

  • Onana could be dropped for Newcastle clash

Ruben Amorim is considering taking Andre Onana out of the firing line for Sunday's trip to Newcastle after a nightmare game in the Groupama Stadium ?as Onana blundered for both of Lyon’s goals in the 2-2 draw.

Amorim was planning to make changes for the game at St James?Park ?making the second leg against Lyon his priority.

And one of those could be pulling Onana out and replacing him with understudy Altay Bayindir.

Asked if he would make changes for the trip to Tyneside, Amorim said: “Sometimes winning games is the best way of preparing for the next one.

“But of course, I am going to be careful with some players but again we need to be competitive.

“We will make this evaluation with all the staff and all the data that we have.

“Then, because we know already the players, we will try to protect the ones that it will be hard to make a lot of games.?/p>

  • Man Utd to sell one of the players to sign Cunha

Cunha has a £62.5million release clause in his new contract, which expires in the summer of 2029.

United have several players on the books they could cash in on to finance a summer swoop for Cunha, who has found the back of the net 15 times in 29 appearances this season.

Loanees Antony, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho - who are currently with Real Betis, Aston Villa and Chelsea respectively - are contenders to be sold this summer.

Amorim, who replaced Erik ten Hag at the Old Trafford helm last November, is eager to start building a team to reflect his ethos in the summer.

But he admits he won't be able to do that unless he gets rid of some of the dead wood at the club.

  • Hojlund swap

Manchester United are reportedly considering swapping Rasmus Hojlund for Victor Osimhen.

Italian outlet Tutto Sport claim United are working to secure the signing of Osimhen - who is currently on loan at Galatasaray - in the summer.

And they are considering offering Hojlund in a swap deal to go to Napoli as part of the transfer.

  • He's a keeper

Manchester United have reportedly enquired about Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen.

Red Devils' No1 Andre Onana dropped two howlers in the 2-2 draw with Lyon on Thursday.

Gazzetta dello Sport claim United have 22-year-old Verbruggen in their sights as an alternative this summer.

  • Delap on Man Utd radar

The 21-year-old Ipswich Town striker is on United's radar, with a £40 million release clause activated if Ipswich faces relegation.

Delap's aggressive playing style has drawn comparisons to Ian Wright, and he is considered a strong fit for United's attacking needs.

Despite his team's struggles to escape the relegation zone, Delap has scored 12 goals for Ipswich in the top division this season.

  • Man Utd eyeing Japanese goalkeeper

Manchester United are intensifying their pursuit of the Japanese goalkeeper from Parma, valued at £40 million.

The club aims to provide competition for current starter Andre Onana, whose form has been inconsistent. ?/p>

Onana was at fault once more on Thursday night as United lost to Lyon after squandering a lead in the closing minutes.

The opening leg of their Europa League quarterfinal ended 2-2, with the French team scoring both goals thanks to mistakes made by the Cameroon international.

Meanwhile, Suzuki made 30 appeareances in Serie A games this season, preserving five clean sheets.

The 22-year-old is yet to commit a mistake that resulted in a goal in the league.

  • Cunha latest

United are eyeing Matheus Cunha in the summer window.

The Wolves attacker can play as a striker or a 10, a perfect fit for Ruben Amorim's system.

Although, they have possibly leaked his role in Amorim's side with their transfer negotiations, with the Red Devils looking to bring him in alongside Liam Delap, not instead of.

Amorim plays with two 10s behind the striker, so Cunha would likely come and be the second 10 with Delap leading the way.

  • Hojlund set for loan

It has been a tumultuous second season in England for Rasmus Hojlund, and his adventure looks to be over already.

Juventus are looking to bring him back to Serie A on loan.

Hojlund attracted the interest of United through the Serie A, during his time with Atalanta, so a move back might spark a return to form.

  • Rasmus speaks

Rasmus Hojlund has opened up on his tough time at Manchester United.

The Dane striker is being linked with a summer move away after scoring just 3 goals this season.

He told Sky Sports: "I knew that was part of the package when I signed. It is what it is.

"It's part of the story of being a Manchester United player.

"You get criticised if you're not performing to the level and if you're not up there where the club wants to be, which is completely fair."

He then dropped two howlers against the French side in a 2-2 draw.

  • Going, going, Garn

Manchester United are set to drop their asking price for Alejandro Garnacho to £47million this summer, according to reports in Italy.

Napoli and Chelsea were interested in a move for the Argentina winger during the January window.

Both sides are weighing up a move for the exciting winger, with United keen for funds as they overhaul the squad.

  • Ground to a halt

Manchester United could save £300million if they lost two iconic features from their new Old Trafford plans.

Minority co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe's vision of a £2BILLION 100,000-seater "Wembley of the North" could be subject to a few changes between now and 2030.

  • Gloves are off

Ruben Amorim is considering taking Andre Onana out of the firing line for Sunday's trip to Newcastle.

The Manchester United No1 had a difficult week after initially being involved in a war of words with former Red Devils midfielder Nemanja Matic, before two howlers against Lyon.

Amorim was planning to make changes for the game at St James?Park ?making the second leg against Lyon his priority.

And one of those could be pulling Onana out and replacing him with understudy Altay Bayindir.

  • Bruno could be rested

United's skipper could be rested against Newcastle.

Manager Amorim said: "It's an evaluation,?Ruben said of the situation with Bruno.

“We'll make this evaluation with all the staff, with all the data that we have, and then because we know already the players, we will try to protect the ones that it will be hard to make a lot of games.

“But Bruno Fernandes is playing all the time and he's playing better all the time. Sometimes, this kind of player has to play in every match.

“But we will address that in these days that we have to prepare."

  • 'The team is suffering'

Ruben Amorim said Andre Onana is one of many players struggling for form.

He said: “No, I didn't see him, to be honest with you. I used these minutes to try to calm down, to come here to say the right things.

"But it's normal. And I think it felt really quiet, the dressing room. And that is a good thing. We draw away in Europe. That’s always hard.

"The team is suffering, but we need to change that and we have the opportunity to change. So let's focus on that.?/p>

  • Amorim praises Leny Yoro

United manager said: “Yeah, it's really good. He's really confident. I think he's improving. The physicality was something that he was struggling [with].

"He didn't have pre-season so we had to maintain Leny sometimes with a little bit problems and we start again.

"So we are seeing all the work that all the staff is doing with Leny. He feels at home in Carrington, in our club. So you can see that he's a top, top player.?/p>

  • Amorim: Second-leg is 50/50

After the 2-2 draw at Lyon, Amorim said: "I think it’s 50/50. And then we have to be really smart in the next round, because we are going to play at home and our stadium with our fans, and they will give us energy.

"But at the same time, this team of Lyon wants to push us to make possession near the box, to have a lot of space to make transitions.

"So the next stage we need to play of course, with our heart, but we have to think a lot during the game.

"So it's a really difficult match, but again, we are playing with our fans and when we play at home, we play with one more player.?/p>

  • 'That can happen'

Ruben Amorim suggested the distracting Lyon CROWD had a part to play in Andre Onana's performance.

Amorim said: “I don't know, that can happen.

"The best thing is to look at the goals and all the actions that Andre has had in the game and to talk with [goalkeeper coaches Jorge] Vital and Craig [Mawson].

"This is the best way to help any player - to focus on the game, what happened, what we need to improve and then put the player [in] again.?/p>

  • Cantona ?Ratcliffe ‘destroying?United

Man Utd legend Eric Cantona has taken an incredible swipe at co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

The Frenchman claims the Ineos owner and his team are trying to “destroy everything?and blasted the decision to move away from Old Trafford.

“Cantona, 58, said: “I support United because I really love United, but now if I was a fan and I had to choose a club I don’t think I would choose United.

“For me, that is very important to respect these people like you respect your manager and your team-mates.

“I think since Ratcliffe arrived it’s the complete opposite and this team of directors they try to destroy everything and they don’t respect anybody.

“They even want to change the stadium.
